Abstract

The author reflects on the 31st anniversary of the "Australian Journal of Communication," Colleen Mills's Presidential Address, which was delivered at the Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Communication in July 2006, Stephen Crofts' analyses of media discourse, Steven Maras' work on Australian Communication Studies, and the Australian Research Council's insistence on the Research Quality Framework.
