Show, Attend and Read: A Simple and Strong Baseline for Irregular Text Recognition

Recognizing irregular text in natural scene images is challenging due to the large variance in text appearance, such as curvature, orientation and distortion. Most existing approaches rely heavily on sophisticated model designs and/or extra fine-grained annotations, which, to some extent, increase the difficulty in algorithm implementation and data collection. In this work, we propose an easy-to-implement strong baseline for irregular scene text recognition, using off-the-shelf neural network components and only word-level annotations. It is composed of a 3131-layer ResNet, an LSTM-based encoder-decoder framework and a 2-dimensional attention module. Despite its simplicity, the proposed method is robust and achieves state-of-the-art performance on both regular and irregular scene text recognition benchmarks. Tuberculosis(TB)is a chronic infectious disease with high rate of morbidity and mortality world wide, and it is easy to relapse. TB can involve multiple organs, when it infects eye, it can cause lesions in anterior segment, posterior segment and the accessory organs of the eye. The purpose of this paper is to describe the clinical manifestation of intraocular TB, its diagnosis and treatment

KS0βˆ’KL0K_S^0-K_L^0 Asymmetries and CPCP Violation in Charmed Baryon Decays into Neutral Kaons

We study the KS0βˆ’KL0K^0_S-K^0_L asymmetries and CPCP violations in charm-baryon decays with neutral kaons in the final state. The KS0βˆ’KL0K^0_S-K^0_L asymmetry can be used to search for two-body doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes of charm-baryon decays, with the one in Ξ›c+β†’pKS,L0\Lambda^+_c\to pK^0_{S,L} as a promising observable. Besides, it is studied for a new CPCP-violation effect in these processes, induced by the interference between the Cabibbo-favored and doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes with the neutral kaon mixing. Once the new CP-violation effect is determined by experiments, the direct CPCP asymmetry in neutral kaon modes can then be extracted and used to search for new physics. The numerical results based on SU(3)SU(3) symmetry will be tested by the experiments in the future.Comment: 15 pages, 3 tables. Version published in JHE

BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF HOLD-THROW TECHNIQUE IN ELITE WRESTLER

INTRODUCTION: Good skills in wrestling are one of the keys to success. An experienced wrestler can win the game by strength and dexterity. However, of these qualities, the strength factor is the basic one, in order for wrestlers to master wresting techniques and develop their skill. Therefore, the combination of good techniques and strength is the necessary requirement for wining. Kinematic testing can provide the features of wrestling techniques and the strength features can be obtained by using isokinetic dynamometer system. Through above method. With a better understanding of the biomechanical features in wresting techniques, it is possible to diagnose and evaluate the performance of the wrestler and to provide suggestions for development of skills in training and for competition
