The study used a quantitative descriptive research design. It was conducted in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute-College of Rehabilitation Sciences. Participants were 18-20 years old young Filipino male and female adults from a subset of the population in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. Ten (10) participants met the inclusion criteria for the study. They were selected through purposive sampling technique. The participants were tasked with sustaining /a/ for five (5) seconds then asked to read the rainbow passage. The sustained phonation of /a/ was used to screen for voice disorders. The voice sampling was recorded using Audacity and analyzed using Pratt. Value obtained was computed using descriptive analysis such as mean, standard deviation and range. The mean speaking fundamental frequency of Filipino young adults during standard reading passage were SF0 = 217.93 Hz (± 28.07) for females, and SF0 = 129.343 Hz for the male participant. The speaking fundamental frequency range obtained from the female participants is SF0Range = 403.07 (±8.56) Hz, and SF0Range = 224.596 Hz from the male participant. The study was able to obtain the SF0 and SF0Range of the population. While multiple studies were able to support the result of the SF0, the lack of literature present for the SF0Range indicates further research is needed in this area

A descriptive qualitative study using structured type of interview was conducted with the participants using an interview guide based on a researcher-made questionnaire. A convenience sampling yielded two (2) patients post-stroke under the CoRP of College of Rehabilitation Sciences, De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) from Barangay Narvaez, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite as respondents. Responses were written and recorded and were subjected to qualitative analysis and interpretation. The results of the study showed that the telerehabilitation program was efficient, patient centered, timely and safe in delivering rehabilitation services. However, problems were present during the TR process in terms of the internet connection and audio quality. The overall perception of the participants towards the telerehabilitation program was highly positive

The study employed a cross-sectional design and multi-stage sampling was utilized. The study population was divided into clusters depending on the college or department they were under. Individual subjects were selected by random sampling. Two (2) self-administered questionnaire using standardized International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used to assess the independent variable, level of physical activity. On the other hand, the severity of dysmenorrhea was assessed using the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale. Chi-square was used for data analysis. The study concluded that the study did not support the hypothesis that there was a relationship between the level of physical activity and severity of dysmenorrhea among 16-25 year old female students from the different colleges of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. However, based on this study, there was an increasing prevalence of dysmenorrhea among female students, thus, the need for future studies in helping to reduce this growing problem may be beneficial for female students, as well as non-students, within the reproductive age group

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection still remains a major public health issue in the Asia-Pacific region. Most of the burden of HBV-related disease results from infections acquired in infancy through perinatal or early childhood exposure to HBV in Asia-Pacific. Hepatitis B during pregnancy presents unique management issues for both the mother and fetus. These APASL guidelines provide a comprehensive review and recommendations based on available evidence in the literature, for the management of females with HBV infection through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum. These also address the concerns, management challenges, and required follow-up of children born to hepatitis B-positive mothers
