    Relationship Between Business Communication and Business Sustainability in Times of Uncertainty. A Case Study of Greece

    Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship that exists between business communication and business sustainability in uncertain times.   Theoretical framework: The study utilized the stakeholder theory which helps in explaining business sustainability in times of uncertainty and how it is influenced by different aspects such as communication.   Design/methodology/approach: The questionnaire was used to collect data was from a sample of 138 business owners or employees of SMEs in the manufacturing sector of Kozani Greece.   Findings: The results of this study shows that internal business communication has a positive effect on sustainability of a business during uncertain times. The results also show a positive effect of horizontal and external business communication on business sustainability during times of uncertainty. Since human interaction is the cornerstone of service providers' operations, this transfer assumes a great impact in business, most especially in the service industry. A sustainable strategy or plan must incorporate excellent communication. In order to effectively plan and consequently construct sustainability as well as sustainable plans, people must communicate themselves both internally as well as externally using the appropriate form(s) of communication. Therefore, managers in reputable organization ought to communicate with the receiver in a clear, direct, and accurate manner whether utilizing oral communication to enhance business continuity during times of uncertainty.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The results are of great importance to the field of business management especially concerning the relevance of business communication in supporting sustainability of businesses during crises or times of uncertainty.   Originality/value: The study provides is original knowledge on business communication in supporting sustainability during the different uncertain times

    Role of Crop-Protection Technologies in Sustainable Agricultural Productivity and Management

    After the Second World War, technological advancements helped to develop agriculture and meet urgent food needs. The green revolution was based on the cultivation of new high-yielding varieties, the adoption of plant protection measures, and synthetic fertilizer use. Today, agriculture is called upon to recover its productivity in environmentally friendly terms and to face challenges such as climate change and international political–military events that threaten global sufficiency in agricultural products. The objective of the study is to evaluate the function that crop-protection technologies play in ensuring the continuity of agricultural output. The research was conducted by the use of a questionnaire in a sample of 250 farmers in Northern Greece. Specifically, through descriptive and regression analysis, the roles of biological crop protection, chemical crop-protection techniques, and mechanical crop-protection techniques were explored, and it was found that they either have a positive effect or a significant relationship with sustainable agricultural productivity. In order to meet the current environmental, economic, and political challenges, the agriculture sector at the global and local level should improve and further adopt existing technologies, consolidate the use of integrated pest-management strategies, and fully introduce innovations, combined with digital transformation, into agricultural management and production

    The Role of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Predictive Risk Assessment for Business Continuity: A Case Study of Greece

    This study examined the efficacy of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in predictive risk assessment and their contribution to ensuring business continuity. This research aimed to understand how different AI components, such as natural language processing (NLP), AI-powered data analytics, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and AI integration in incident response planning, enhance risk assessment and support business continuity in an environment where businesses face a myriad of risks, including natural disasters, cyberattacks, and economic fluctuations. A cross-sectional design and quantitative method were used to collect data for this study from a sample of 360 technology specialists. The results of this study show that AI technologies have a major impact on business continuity and predictive risk assessment. Notably, it was discovered that NLP improved the accuracy and speed of risk assessment procedures. The integration of AI into incident response plans was particularly effective, greatly decreasing company interruptions and improving recovery from unforeseen events. It is advised that businesses invest in AI skills, particularly in fields such as NLP for automated risk assessment, data analytics for prompt risk detection, predictive maintenance for operational effectiveness, and AI-enhanced incident response planning for crisis management
