:This study aimed to determine the feasibility of electronics comics as learning media in additive submaterial. The method used in this study was descriptive survey form. The instrument used in this study was validation sheet. The feasibility of electronics comics media was measured through test validity by 10 validators consist of 5 media expert validators and 5 material expert validators. Test the validity of media experts covering aspects of clarity, coherence, emphasis, interactivity, balance, shape and color while the validity of the test material experts covering aspects of the format, content, and language. The analysis of electronics comics media validation declaredeligible to be used as a mediain submaterial additive with score 0,9

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of e-comics as a learning media in additive sub material. The method used in this research was descriptive survey form. The research instrument used the validation sheet. The feasibility of e-comics media was measured through test validity by 8 validators that consist of 3 media expert validators and 5 material expert validators. Based on data analysis, e-comic media in additive sub material is feasible as a learning media with an average value of media expert validation at 3.24 and materials expert validation at 3.34

This study aims to determine the use of documentary PETI film towards students learning outcome in sub matter of pollution and environmental breakdown in grade X SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. The method of this research is Quasi-Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study sample consists of two classes namely grade X MIA 3 as class experiment and grade X MIA4 as grade control. The sampling technique is intact group. Instruments used in this research is 20 items of multiple choice test. The average student learning outcomes are taught using the medium of documentary films is 16.9 higher compared to the average student learning outcomes are taught using the media image is 14.29. From t-test, it is resulted thattobtained>tcriticalnamely 4.77 > 1.67, meaning that there is a significant difference between students' learning outcome which is taught using the media of documentary films andmedia images

This research aims to find out the effect of the use of documentary films on students learning outcomes in the material of the scope of biology class X State Senior High School 1 Sengah Temila. This was Quasi Experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique was intact group. The samples were students of class XE as an experimental group instructed using documentary films and the students of class XF as the control group instructed using the power point presentations. The instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test consisting of 20 items. The result of the average score in post-test experiment group was 15,22, while the average score students post-test in the control group was 13,76. From the Mann-Whitney U test, it was obtained that Zcount < Ztable (-2,17 < -1,96), meaning that there was a significant difference between the students learning outcomes in the experiment and control. Throught an Effect Size calculation, documentary films had an effect of 19,15% on learning outcomes of the students

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes begin learning model of direct instruction in biotechnology material. Study is a form of research sampel used is a class IX B 19 Pontianak SMP 2013/2014 school year. Number of students comprised 37 people 16 male students 21 female students. Worksheets and test from the analysis of the data found in the first cycle 81,08 at second cycle the rescarcher got increasing data in average 90,24. Completeness student learning outcomes in the first cycle increased by 83,78 % be 94,59 % in the second cycle with KKM 75. It can be conchided that the use of direct instruction model of learning can inprove student learning outcomes. Keywords: Direct instruction of learning, learning outcome

The Effects of Carbon Tetrachloride Administration on Liver and Renal Function

Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) that induces liver damage is widely used in hepatoprotector experiments. Carbon tetrachloride at a single dose 0,1; 1,0; and 10 ml/kg body weight was administrated intraperitoneally in male rats to investigate liver and renal damage. Liver damage was monitored by increased alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin, and serum total protein. Increased serum creatinine is an indicator of renal problem. Futhermore, liver and renal tissues were subjected to histopathological studies. Compared with control, injection of 0,1 and 1,0 ml CCl4/kg body weight increased ALT and decreased AST, and at dose 10 ml/kg body weight both ALT and AST decreased to a greater extent (p<0.05). Alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, and total protein were not different in all treatments (p>0.05). Carbon tetrachloride at dose 0,1 and 1,0 ml/kg body weight increased creatinine. However, injection of 10 ml CCl4/kg body weight decreased creatinine (p<0.05). Histopathological studies confirmed the presence of steatosis in hepatic cells at single dose of 1,0 and 10 ml CCl4/kg body weight, with no significant effect in glomerulus. Administration of single dose of CCl4 can induce liver and renal damage that dependent on CCl4 received.&nbsp
