Ellipsometric spectroscopy studies of compaction and decompaction of Si-SiO2 systems, Journal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2007, nr 3
The influence of the strain on the optical properties of Si-SiO2 system has been investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE), interferometry and weighing methods. Subtle changes of densification (compaction degree) in silicon dioxide layers on silicon substrates have been determined by weight technique (relying on measurements of the silicon dioxide layer mass and calculations of the volume). Elastic stress in the oxide layers has been measured by Fizeau fringes image analysis method. A comparison is made between the density of the silicon dioxide (r) and the results of calculations made using r = f = (n) relations (where n is the refractive index) given in the literature

Konsensus dotyczący zastosowania leków hamujących wydzielanie kwasu solnego w żołądku w najczęstszych chorobach górnego odcinka przewodu pokarmowego w praktyce lekarza podstawowej opieki zdrowotnej
Niniejszy artykuł ma charakter konsensusu i dotyczy
zastosowania leków antysekrecyjnych w leczeniu
najczęstszych chorób górnego odcinka przewodu
pokarmowego w praktyce lekarza podstawowej opieki
zdrowotnej. Dwadzieścia sześć stwierdzeń, które
stanowią podsumowanie obecnego stanu wiedzy na
ten temat, zostało poddanych głosowaniu przez
członków Zarządu Głównego Polskiego Towarzystwa
Gastroenterologii (ZG PTG-E).
85% głosujących, a kolejne 3 uzyskały poparcie
wynoszące co najmniej 74%. Wysoki stopień
poparcia większości stwierdzeń zawartych
w konsensusie przez członków ZG PTG-E upoważnia
do stwierdzenia, że przedstawione w nim zasady
wykorzystania leków antysekrecyjnych mogą
być rekomendowane w praktyce lekarzy podstawowej
opieki zdrowotnej w Polsce.

The guidelines are evidence-based and supplemented with experts’ opinion on topics with little evidence; the entire document has been accepted by the Governing Board of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology. DOI:10.1068/htwu583 Thermophysical properties of dental filling materials. Part I: thermal properties
Abstract. The thermal properties of three light-curable filling materials were determined. The materials under test were: compomer Compoglass Õ F, and two hybrid composites, Tetric Õ and Valux 2 Plus. The heat capacity measurements were conducted by power-compensated differential scanning calorimetry. The thermal diffusivity was investigated with the use of a laser-flash apparatus. Measurements were based on the modified Parker method. In both cases basic experiments were carried out within a narrow temperature range around 35 8C, ie from about 20 8C to about 50 8C, which corresponds to estimated typical operating temperatures for dental fillings. The obtained thermal characteristics of the specific heat and the thermal diffusivity were used for calculation of the thermal conductivity of the investigated materials.
Numerical tests of metrological conditioning of modified monotonic heating methodology for thermal diffusivity evaluation
Abstract. Problem of a heat transfer from a certain solid object under forced convection of thermostatic fluid has been discussed. The analysed objects were a cylinder and a cuboid. They were studied while subjected to a stationary fluid flow at different angles of attack. Several values of the inflow velocity ranging from 0.01 m.s–1 to 1 m.s–1 have been taken into consideration. The analysed fluids were of the water and the ethanol properties, respectively. The analysis has been performed applying the CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) ANSYS code. The obtained results complement results of previous analytical studies that had created of a theoretical background for the modified step heating i.e. regular heating regime. In addition, they confirmed a good metrological condition of the developed procedure. Keywords: thermal diffusivity (TD), temperature equilibration constant, forced convection heat transfer, modified step heating procedure of TD determination, computer fluid dynamic
Mobile engine test station for preparation and operation of miniature turbine jet engines for flying aerial targets
W pracy przedstawiono opis funkcjonowania i konstrukcji naziemnego stanowiska do monitorowania stanu technicznego miniaturowych turbinowych silników odrzutowych o ciągu nieprzekraczającym 200 N, wykorzystywanych m.in. do napędu zdalnie sterowanych modeli latających i wojskowych bezzałogowych statków powietrznych. Zestaw odrzutowych celów powietrznych ZOCP-JET2, zrealizowanego w ramach projektu badawczego finansowanego ze środków NCBiR.The work presents description and operation of the mobile engine test station, designed for the miniature turbine jet engines with a maximum trust below 200 N. The engine test bed allows us to monitor the condition of the engine used to drive remotely controlled flying aerial targets or military unmanned aircraft. According to military (Department of Defence) requirements, the designed engine test station is mobile, it can be used in military battlefield conditions and it meets safety precautions and military transport requirements. The reason of the engine investigations was the shortage and lack of information on the engine capability and suitability to work in the field conditions, and first of all on its limitations. The designed engine test station successfully completed tests in laboratory as well as in military field conditions and nowadays it is an integrated part of the Aerial Flying Target System called the ZOCP-JE2 that is designated for the engine’s monitoring and checking before the flight
