Do Miramar ao Monumento: a reconstrução do "velho trapiche"

The aim of this article is to analyze the building process of the former bar and the pier Miramar, which can be considered one of the major symbols of ancient Florianópolis, since the city hall’s initial suggestion of rebuilding it in 1988 until the conclusion of the work on the Memorial ao Miramar, in 2001. In order to this, articles from the newspaper O Estado will be analyzed, and Jacques Le Goff will be used as the theoretical background.Este artigo pretende analisar o processo de construção do antigo bar e trapiche Miramar – que pode ser considerado um dos grandes símbolos da antiga Florianópolis – desde a proposta inicial da prefeitura de reconstruí-lo, em 1988, até a conclusão das obras do Memorial ao Miramar, em 2001. Para isso, serão analisadas reportagens do jornal O Estado e, como suporte teórico, os escritos de Jacques Le Goff
