    Maxillofacial trauma not only caused physical impact but also psychological impact. Velocity and accuracy in handling facial soft tissue trauma will very influential to the aesthetics and facial function. This study aimed at knowing the representation and severity degree of soft tissue injury in patients with maxillofacial trauma hospitalized in surgical ward RSUD Arifin Achmad since 2010-2013. This study was a descriptive retrospective study. This study used 413 medical records of maxillofacial trauma patients. Result from this study, samples in this study was 328 cases (79,23%) males, and 86 cases females (20,77%). The most common age was 11-20 years old (38,41%) whereas the most common etiology of maxillofacial trauma was traffic accidents (81,40%). Most of the patients' occupation weren't written in the medical records (48,55%), followed by students as many as 79 cases (19,08%). The most affected hard tissue was multiple fractures as many as (32,37%), whereas medium category of soft tissue injury was the most affected (55,31%) and the most often location was multiple as many as (37,68%)

    ABSTRACKThe aim of this research is to find out the profile of contracture patients after burn injury treatments. We hold the research at Surgery department, Arifin Achmad hospital from 30th November – 17th December, 2014.This research is descriptive study with cross sectional approach. From 237 populations, we took 12 for our sample with total sampling method. Data collected by the review of medical records of patients hospitalized for burn injury from January 2011 – December 2013. Parameter investigated include patients\u27 frequent, data for extent of burn injury degree, age, and sex gender were tabulated, computerized and analyzed.From the data we have gathered, we got burn injury patients were 237 people, and 12 patients were contracture. Number of contracture patients mostly in range 15 – 24 years old (33,4%). Number of contracture patients in female patient were 6 people (50%) and in male patients were 6 people (50%). Almost all burn extent was deep dermal (2nd degree) (58,3%) and full thickness (3rd degree) (41,7%)

    Cleft palate is the most common craniofacial abnormality encountered by plastic surgeons. Definitive therapy for cleft palate is throughout a palatoplasty operation. The most common complication of palatolasty is the formation of palatal fistula. The goal of this study is to determine the incidence of palatal fistula in postpalatoplasty patients at Awal Bros Hospital Sudirman Pekanbaru period January 2011-Desember 2013. This study is a descriptive retrospective study with a cross-sectional approach. Sample of this study includes all medical records that fulfill the inclusion criteria. 29 medical records are included as samples in this study. The results of this study suggests that 1 out of 29 patients has palatal fistula (3,4%). Patient with palatal fistula is in the group age >18bulan and is a male. Patient is diagnosed with complete unilateral dextra cleft palate

    Face is the part of the body that is uncovered topographically and easy to get trauma as the result. The high incidence of traffic accident in developing countries is equal to the increasing of facial bone fracture incidence rate. Anatomy shape and the opened-position of mandibular lead to be easy to get trauma compared to other facial bones. This research was aimed to know the incidence rate of mandibular fracture based on anatomical location in Riau Province General Hospital during January 2011-December 2013 that consists of distribution of mandibular fracture in age, sex, total of fracture line, and trauma variant. The research was an observational study using descriptive retrospective design. This study used total sampling method. Samples of this study were all data of mandibular fracture patient that fulfilled inclusion criteria. The total samples were 206 cases. This study shows that the age group of 18-40 years old (59%) and male (80.1%) in sex group were the most commonly patient with mandibular fracture. Single trauma was the highest trauma that happened with 57.3% in percentage. The highest fracture line was single fracture (68.6%) with symphysis parasymphysis region (26.7%). Symphysis parasymphysis mandibular fracture was found in age group of 18-40 years old (53.12%), male in sex group (75%), single fracture line (63.38), and single trauma in trauma variant (57.81%.)
