Stannoxanes and phosphonates: new approaches in organometallic and transition metal assemblies

    Get PDF
Phosphonate ligands, [RPO3]2-, are extremely versatile in the assembly of multi-tin and multi-copper architectures. We have used organostannoxane cores for supporting multi-ferrocene and multi-porphyrin peripheries. The copper-metalated multi-porphyrin compound is an excellent reagent for facile cleavage of DNA, even in the absence of a co-oxidant. Reaction oft-BuPO3H2 with Cu(C104)2. 6H2O in the presence of 2-pyridylpyrazole (2-Pypz) leads to the synthesis of a decanuclear copper (II) assembly

Ventricular Tachycardia in Repaired Double Chambered Right Ventricle - Identification of the Substrate and Successful Ablation

    Get PDF
A 35 year old female presented with recurrent ventricular tachycardia 5 years after she had undergone surgical repair of double chambered right ventricle. Electroanatomical mapping showed a localised scar in the apex with double potentials and good pace map. Ablation here resulted in non-inducibility of ventricular tachycardia. We hypothesise that the scarring in the apex is the result of sustained pressure overload and becomes arrhythmogenic similar to the apical scar in patients with mid-ventricular hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

The cyclophosphazene hydrazides N3P3(N(Me)NH2)6 (1), spiro-N3P3(C12H8O2)(N(Me)NH2)4 (2), and dispiro-N3P3(C12H8O2)2(N(Me)NH2)2 (3) have been readily elaborated by a click synthesis involving condensation with pentafluorobenzaldehyde to afford the fluorine-rich cyclophosphazene hydrazones N3P3(N(Me)N=CHC6F5)6 (4), spiro-N3P3(C12H8O2)(N(Me)N=CHC6F5)4 (5), and dispiro-N3P3(C12H8O2)2(N(Me)N=CHC6F5)2 (6) in excellent yields. The molecular and crystal structures of 4-6 are reported. The crystal structures of 4-6 reveal a rich interplay of various intermolecular secondary interactions generating novel supramolecular architectures. The dependence of the molecular symmetry on the eventual supramolecular structures is also revealed. The crystal structure of 6 shows the selective entrapment of guest dioxane molecules

Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model of COVID-19 Infected Cases and Deaths

    No full text
The primary objectives of the present study are to investigate the short- and long-term cointegration relationships between the cumulative number of new cases of COVID-19 infections (X) and the cumulative numbers of deaths due to COVID-19 (Y), to investigate the long-run equilibrium relationship between these variables using an autoregressive distributed lag model and bounds cointegration tests, and to study the stability of the estimated model. The cumulative sum of recursive residuals test and the cumulative sum of recursive residuals squares tests are used to assess the consistency of the model parameters

Vector Error Correction Modeling of COVID-19 Infected Cases and Deaths

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the dynamic relationship between the COVID-19 infected cases and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 using the Johnsen-Fisher co-integration test, vector error correction model and Granger causality test. The daily COVID-19-infected new cases and daily deaths due to COVID-19 in the United States, Canada, Ukraine and India were collected from the website for the period from 01-04-2020 to 26-12-2010. The summary statistics revealed that the highest numbers of COVID-19-infected cases were registered in the United States, followed by India, Canada and Ukraine; the highest numbers of deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the United States, followed by India, Ukraine and Canada. The death percentage is exceedingly high in Canada, followed by the United States, Ukraine and India. The Johnsen-Fisher co-integration test results reveal the existence of one co-integration equation. The vector error correction model and Granger causality test reveal that long-term and short-term causality exists between COVID-19 infection and death cases. The speed of adjustment is found to be 9.9%

Performance Analysis of Preemptive Priority Retrial Queueing System with Disaster under Working Breakdown Services

    No full text
In this investigation, a novel sort of retrial queueing system with working breakdown services is introduced. Two distinct kinds of customers are considered, which are priority and ordinary customers. The normal busy server may become inadequate due to catastrophes at any time which cause the major server to fail. At a failure moment, the major server is sent to be fixed and the server functions at a lower speed (called the working breakdown period) during the repair period. The probability generating functions (PGF) of the system size is found using the concepts of the supplementary variable technique (SVT). The impact of parameters in system performance measures and cost optimization are examined numerically
