    Nutrient Values Of Native Grass And Gliricidia Leafs With Several Blocks Of Sugar Palm Urea. A study, conducted by applying Completely Randomized Design, has been conducted to analyze nutrient content of native grass, Gliricidia leafs and urea which was mixed with palm sugar. The study took place in the Laboratory of Nutrient and Feed of Almira, Kupang from July to December 2009. Feedstuff consist of native grass forage, Gliricidia leafs, sugar palm 35%, corn meal 18%, rice bran 32%, urea 2%, salt 5%, mineral 3% and lime 5%. Observed variables consist of proximate analyses (dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, fat, ash, free Nitrogen extract matter, Calcium and Phosphor). The results show that the nutrient values of all ration formula treatments are not significantly differ (P<0.05). It can be concluded that all nutrient content of all five ration formulations are similar

    This research was conducted in Kupang State Agricultural Polytechnic, Prodia Clinical Laboratory, feed Chemical Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Faculty, and the Gadjah Mada University of from May 6 th until June 7 th , 2013. The aims of this resear ch was to determine the effect of skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal on hematology parameters in broiler chicken. The aims of this research was to determine the effect of skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal on hematological parameters and the level of skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal consumption in broiler chicken which can affect hematological parameter. This research used completely randomized design with 4 tr eatments and 6 replications. The treatments were basal ration without skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal (R0), 95% basal ration + 5 % meal of skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal (R1), 90 % basal ration + 10 % skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal (R2), 8 5 % basal ration + 15 % skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal (R3). The measured variables were the number of erythrocyte, hemoglobin level, hematocrit value, level of LDL, and HDL cholesterol, and triglyceride. The variants analysis to the number of erythr ocyte, hemoglobin level, and haematocrit value indicated that skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal had no significant effect to broiler (P>0.05). The level of LDL cholesterol from R0 and R1 had no significant difference. The R1, R2, and R3 treatments had s ignificant effect (P<0.01) on the LDL cholesterol of broiler. HDL cholesterol and triglycerida showed that the skinless roasted tamarind seeds meal had no significant effect (P>0.05)

    The aim of this research are to evaluate the production and nutritive value Cowpea and Sudan grass forage on intercroping plant system. This research was designed by RCD with 5 treatment and replication ( 25 attempt unit). Treatment tried by are: P1: Monoculture Sudan grass, P2: Monoculture cowpea, P3 Join with cowpea and Sudan grass in percentage population 25:75, P4:50:50 and P5:75:25.The result showed that intercroping cowpea and Sudan grass effected ( P< 0,01) on dry matter production on Sudan grass and cowpea there P3 and P4 are highest that 3,18 tons / ha and 3,04 tons / ha for Sudan grass and on Cowpea 7,03 tons / ha and 6,35 tons / ha. Crude protein on Sudan grass forage, P5 And P4 are highest that 10,50% and P4 10,25%. Best Rate crude fiber on P3 and P4. P1 And P3 crude fat highest that 1,00% and 0,89%, and ash highest at P1, P4 And P5 that 12,83%, 12,28% and 12,17%. For cowpea forage, the best Nutritive value are CP highest at P4 and P5 that 27,72% and 27,59%. Best rate CF at P5 and P4 that 21,06% and 20,89%. highest rate Crude fat at P2 and P3 that 2,05% and 1,69%. highest ash rate at P2 that 17,07%. Concluded the best proportion for join plant Sudan grass and cowpea is 50 %: 50 %

    Kandungan Protein Kasar Dan Tanin Biji Asam Yang Difermentasi Dengan Rhyzopus Oligosporus

    This research was aimed to evaluate the effect of level of Rhyzopus oligosporus and fermentation time on crude protein and tannin of tamarind seed. This experiment was conducted in 2 treatment factors with 2 replication. The first factor was various level of Rhyzopus oligosporus e.i. 1,2,3 kg/kg, and the second factor was time of fermentation e.i. 1,2,3, days. The results showed that there was no significantly effects among treatments on crude protein, but significant effect (P<0.05) on tannin by level of Rhyzopus oligosporus treatment, and time of fermentation, even those there was no interaction between each treatment. Tannin content decreased in line with increasing level of Rhyzopus oligosporus and time of fermentation. In conclusion, the best treatment was 3 g/kg level of Rhyzopus oligosporus with 3 days fermentation length

    Use of Wafer Legume as Goats Feeds Alternative in Semi Arid Area. The experiment was conducted at Goats house Laboratory of Production and Reproduction, Kupang State Agriculture Polytechnic, from Mei to July 2006. This research aimed to know the advantage of wafer legume used for goat's feed, especially feed intake, digestion, body weigh gain, rumen concentration of NH3 and VFA. The experiment used completely randomized design. Nine goats were randomly divided into 3 groups to receive three treatments. The treatments were R0 (kume grass hay), R1( R0 + wafer -1 of 1,5% body weight gain, R2 ( R0 + wafer-2 of 1,5% body weight gain. Parameters measured were nutrient intake, nutrient digestion, body weight gain, rumen concentration of NH3 and VFA. The data was analysed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result indicated that wafer legume did not significantly affected to organic matter intake and body weight gain, while the significant effect was found in digestion, rumen concentration of NH3 and VFA. It Could be concluded that wafer legume improve digestion, rumen concentration of NH3 and VFA of goats
