Soil cultivation and the sowing of Eragrostis curvula on severely damaged Themeda-Cymbopogon veld

An experiment was carried out to determine the effect of tilling and sowing of Eragrostis curvula on the botanical composition and production of severely damaged veld. Tilling and sowing was carried out before, as well as during the rainy season. The main results indicated that cultivation before rain has a detrimental effect on the veld.
