Global monopole as dual-vacuum solution in Kaluza-Klein spacetime

    Get PDF
By application of the duality transformation, which implies interchange of active and passive electric parts of the Riemann curvature (equivalent to interchange of Ricci and Einstein tensors) it is shown that the global monopole solution in the Kaluza-Klein spacetime is dual to the corresponding vacuum solution. Further we also obtain solution dual to flat space which would in general describe a massive global monopole in 4-dimensional Euclidean space and would have massless limit analogus to the 4-dimensional dual-flat solution.Comment: 8 pages, LaTEX versio

THE ROLE OF PRINT ADVERTISING DURING PRODUCT RECALL CRISIS

    Get PDF
A product recall is a request to return to the maker a batch or an entire production run of a product, usually due to the discovery of safety issues. The recall is an effort to limit liability for corporate negligence (which can cause costly legal penalties) and to improve or avoid damage to publicity. Recalls are costly to a company because they often entail replacing the recalled product or paying for damage caused by use, although possibly less costly than consequential costs caused by damage to brand name and reduced trust in the manufacturer. Product recalls are pervasive economic phenomenon, which occur frequently and can have devastating consequences for the recalling firm. This paper documents the significance of product recalls, and of advertising as a means of recall communication. This paper presents taxonomy of the major modes of advertising encountered in product recall campaigns. Additionally, certain prescriptive admonitions are suggested for each of the three dominant print modes; direct mail, display ads, and point-of-sales messages. Finally, a series of basic generalizations about recall print advertising are advanced.Ă‚

INDIA GAS EXCHANGE TODAY’S REALITY AND PATH AHEAD

    Get PDF
This research aims to study structure, functioning and operational mechanism of India’s first gas exchange i.e. Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) which is a subsidiary of Indian Energy Exchange (IEX). Exploratory research is used to study and investigate conceptual framework and operational mechanism of IGX. The results of the study show that IEX has unveiled the nation’s first automated natural gas exchange trading platform called IGX for well organized and hefty Gas market and to stimulate gas trading in the country. IGX would lead India towards Gas Based Economy by designing and providing robust solution for natural gas trading and access. So far as price mechanism at IGX is concerned, it is dynamic and market driven which is based on Double-sided closed auction with uniform price mechanism. IGX plays an extremely important and fundamental role towards capitalizing a free market for gas. Clearing and Settlement system at IGX is structured and transparent. As IGX is purely electronic trading platform for natural gas which is considered as barometer of the India’s progressive policy as it integrates the entire energy value chain from gas production

DESIGN OF A WIDE SLOT ANTENNA FOR BANDWIDTH ENHANCEMENT

Microstrip printed wide slot antenna with a fork like tuning stub for bandwidth enhancement is proposed in this paper. By applying fork like tuning stub to the microstrip wide slot antenna instead of line feed, it is experimentally found that operating bandwidth can be enhanced. Experimental results indicate that the impedance bandwidth, defined by -10dB return loss, of the proposed wide slot antenna can reach operating bandwidth of 3.1 GHz at operating frequency about 2 GHz which is 6 times greater than conventional wide slot antenna
