While exploring this research question, the study contributes for identifying common aspects and drawing recommendations for future studies and practices. For addressing the research question proposed, twenty cases of physical products using AR as part of their marketing mix were identified and analysed for their characteristics. The EPI Cube framework and its contextualization in the customer experience was used as theoretical model for guiding the analysis. BIM and VAR represent technological frontiers able to innovate the building industry in the drawing field. Through multidisciplinary approach, their integration requires multidisciplinary skills that have to find a significant framework in the representation field. The SAM4Care (Smart Advanced Modelling for Care) project aims at enhancing the use of innovative technologies investigating data management and visualization topics. Through a selected case study, BIM and VAR were evaluated, testing possible ways to innovate healthcare system buildings developing a digital model, following HBIM methodology. In this way, different information can be provided to satisfy user’s needs through participatory planning able to improve people awareness for healthcare building stock
