Densitas dan Fekunditas Tabernaemontana Macrocarpa di Komunitas Pinus Merkusii, Hutan Lindung Mangunan, Bantul
Tabernaemontana macrocarpa Jack (Cembirit) is a tree species found in Mangunan Conservation Forest and hasn't been known yet when it appears firstly. Until this time, information about it's fecundity is still unknown. Pine litter containing allelopathic compound (monoterpen α-pinene and β-pinene) that is toxic to other species. The high density of it's seedling indicated that pines allelopathy didn't effect the Cembirit in Pines community. This research purposes to find out the density and fecundity of Cembirit in Pines community. Data collection had been conducted in December 2015 – February 2016 in Mangunan Conservation Forest, Bantul. Data collections were conducted 6 times in 10x10m2 permanent plots. The growth data were analysed using Relative Growth Rate (RGR) analysis. The Cembirit densities in Pines community are 10.420 ind Ha-1 (seedling), 460 ind Ha-1 (sapling), and 40 ind Ha-1 (tree). The Cembirit were categorized into 3 groups based on it's stem diameter were including 7,7-9,8 cm (group 1), 9,9-11,8 cm (group 2), and 11,9-13,8 cm (group 3). The Cembirit's RGR are, 0,00079 cm (group 1), 0,00069 cm (group 2), and 0,00055 cm (group 3), with their fecundity are 3,4%, 5,6% and 2,4%. The high density, RGR, and fecundity value of Cembirit, indicated it's invasiveness and potentialy become a strong competitor for Pines
Longitudinal Eigenvibration of Multilayer Colloidal Crystals and the Effect of Nanoscale Contact Bridges
Longitudinal contact-based vibrations of colloidal crystals with a controlled
layer thickness are studied. These crystals consist of 390 nm diameter
polystyrene spheres arranged into close packed, ordered lattices with a
thickness of one to twelve layers. Using laser ultrasonics, eigenmodes of the
crystals that have out-of-plane motion are excited. The particle-substrate and
effective interlayer contact stiffnesses in the colloidal crystals are
extracted using a discrete, coupled oscillator model. Extracted stiffnesses are
correlated with scanning electron microscope images of the contacts and atomic
force microscope characterization of the substrate surface topography after
removal of the spheres. Solid bridges of nanometric thickness are found to
drastically alter the stiffness of the contacts, and their presence is found to
be dependent on the self-assembly process. Measurements of the eigenmode
quality factors suggest that energy leakage into the substrate plays a role for
low frequency modes but is overcome by disorder- or material-induced losses at
higher frequencies. These findings help further the understanding of the
contact mechanics, and the effects of disorder in three-dimensional micro- and
nano-particulate systems, and open new avenues to engineer new types of micro-
and nanostructured materials with wave tailoring functionalities via control of
the adhesive contact properties
ANALISIS FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PRODUKSI LABU SIAM DI DESA SAENAM KECAMATAN MIOMAFFO BARAT KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH UTARA
This research was conducted in Saenam Village, West Miomaffo District, North Central Timor Regency. This study aims to determine (1) the amount of chayote farming income (2) Analysis the factors that influence the production of chayote the amount of chayote farming income. The analytical method used is the Cobb - Douglas analysis. From the results of the regression analysis with the Cobb - Douglas function, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.664, meaning that variations in independent variables such as land area, labor, number of productive plants and fertilizer can explain the dependent variable, namely production (Y) of 65% and the remaining 35 % is explained by variables outside of the variables being analyzed.
The results of the F test (diversity test), it was found that the factors X1, X2, X3,α 5% then accept H1 at least one of : βi ≠0. While the resultst test (partial test) shows that the factors that significantly influence the increase in chayote production are land area, fertilizer, number of productive plants, while labor has no significant effect. The results of this study indicate that the total average income per hectare of chayote in the research location is Rp. 2.463.840 with a total average revenue per hectare of Rp. 3.492.545.45 and the total average cost per hectare is Rp. 1.028.705

Bilateral neck cysts as an isolated sonographic finding in the antenatal detection of fetal aneuploidy: a case report
Isolated fetal lateral neck cysts can represent a cystic hygroma or a developmental remnant cyst. In the absence of an increased nuchal translucency or associated malformations the risk of aneuploidy has been considered negligible. Still, dysmorphology in aneuploid fetuses might not be evident except at a later stage. We report on a case of isolated fetal bilateral neck cysts where aneuploidy was suspected and confirmed despite the lack of associated morphologic abnormalities
