Tameness of holomorphic closure dimension in a semialgebraic set

Given a semianalytic set S in a complex space and a point p in S, there is a unique smallest complex-analytic germ at p which contains the germ of S, called the holomorphic closure of S at p. We show that if S is semialgebraic then its holomorphic closure is a Nash germ, for every p, and S admits a semialgebraic filtration by the holomorphic closure dimension. As a consequence, every semialgebraic subset of a complex vector space admits a semialgebraic stratification into CR manifolds satisfying a strong version of the condition of the frontier.Comment: Published versio

The impact of concrete cover thickness deviations on expected reinforced concrete elements durability

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań mające na celu oszacowanie wpływu odchyłek grubości otuliny na przewidywaną trwałość. Analizę oparto na pomiarach wykonanych podczas inwentaryzacji położenia zbrojenia podłużnego w wybranych przekrojach 43 belek. Badane elementy zostały wykonane w zakładzie prefabrykacji i wszystkie nieprawidłowości wynikały z błędów popełnionych na etapie ich wykonania. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki analizy rozkładu wyznaczonej odchyłki grubości otuliny betonowej z uwzględnieniem jej położenia w przekroju elementu oraz oszacowano ich wpływ na przewidywaną trwałość elementów.This paper presents an attempt to assess the impact of concrete cover thickness deviations on expected durability. The analysis is based on the inventory of rebars position in beams cross-section performed for 43 elements. The elements were made in the precast factory and all errors were made at the stage of manufacturing. The paper presents the results of distribution analysis of determined concrete cover deviations (analysis takes into account location of those deviations in the cross-section of the element) and assessment of the impact of concrete cover thickness deviations on expected durability

Impact of construction errors regarding the ferro-concrete beams on lag deformation, thickness and scratching of the beams

W pracy przedstawiono analizę wpływu błędów wykonania zbrojenia w aspekcie zapewnienia grubości otulenia oraz wpływu niesymetrycznego rozmieszczenia prętów zbrojeniowych w przekroju belki żelbetowej na deformacje oraz obraz zarysowania. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie wyników inwentaryzacji rozmieszczenia zbrojenia w przekrojach belek żelbetowych oraz badań odkształceń powierzchni tych belek z wykorzystaniem skanera optycznego 3D. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników stwierdzono przekroczenie dopuszczalnych odchyłek grubości otuliny oraz wykazano duży wpływ niesymetrycznego rozmieszczenia prętów na deformację i zarysowanie belki podczas obciążania.The paper presents an analysis of errors in performance of reinforcement. Influence of errors on concrete cover thickness and the impact of asymmetric rebar distribution in cross section of reinforced concrete beam on deformation and cracks image were inspected. Analysis was performed on the basis of the results of the reinforcement inventory and results obtained with 3D optical scanner. On the basis of the obtained results, exceeding of the permissible deviations in the concrete cover thickness, and large impact of asymmetric rebar distribution on deformation and crack development on the beam was found

Błędy w wykonawstwie zbrojenia belek żelbetowych a niezawodność elementu

Ensuring the reliability of the structure or its elements is mainly dependent on the quality of materials and workmanship. A huge problem for reinforced concrete structures is both: employee awareness that the concrete works hide all their errors, and inadequate quality control mainly at the stage of reinforcement inspection. These attitudes result in frequent errors in rebar location, or even lack of rebars. This paper attempts to assess the impact of position deviations in the longitudinal reinforcing bars in cross-section of beams on the reliability of element. The calculation is based on the experimentally determined random variation of parameters characterizing elements which have been made in the precast factory.Zapewnienie niezawodności konstrukcji bądź jej elementów jest uzależnione w dużej mierze od jakości stosowanych materiałów oraz prowadzonych robót. W wykonawstwie konstrukcji żelbetowych duży problem stanowią zarówno świadomość pracowników, że prace betoniarskie ukryją ich wszystkie błędy, jak i niedostateczna kontrola jakości, głównie na etapie odbioru zbrojenia. Rezultatem są często błędy w rozmieszczeniu prętów zbrojeniowych bądź ich niedobór. W pracy podjęto próbę oceny wpływu odchyłek w położeniu prętów zbrojenia podłużnego w przekroju belek żelbetowych na niezawodność elementu.
