Multiparticle production in the model with antishadowing

    Get PDF
We discuss the role of absorbtion and antishadowing in particle production. We reproduce power-like energy behavior of the mean multiplicity in the model with antishadowing and discuss physical implications of such behavior for the hadron structure.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, extended version of the talk at the XXXII International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics September 7-13, 2002 Alushta, Crimea, Ukrain

Universality of the preasymptotics in the hadron and photon diffraction

We note that it is premature to make a conclusion on the multiplicity of the Pomerons on the basis of the available experimental data since the interactions have a preasymptotic natureComment: 4 pages, latex, no figure

Novel features of diffraction at the LHC

Interest and problems in the studies of diffraction at LHC are highlighted. Predictions for the global characteristics of proton-proton interactions at the LHC energy are given. Potential discoveries of the antishadow scattering mode and diffractive scattering conjugated with high--ETE_T jets are discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures, journal version, 1 figure added, extended introductio

On impact parameter dependence of low-x structure functions

We consider impact parameter dependence of the polarized and unpolarized structure functions. Unitarity does not allow factorization of the structure functions over the Bjorken x and the impact parameter b variables. On the basis of the particular geometrical model approach we conclude that spin of constituent quark may have a significant orbital angular momentum component which can manifest itself through the peripherality of the spin dependent structure functions.Comment: 5 pages, 1 figur

Different behaviour of the spin structure functions g1(x)g_1(x) and h1(x)h_1(x) at x0x\to 0

We consider low-xx behaviour of the spin structure functions g1(x)g_1(x) and h1(x)h_1(x) in the unitarized chiral quark model which combines ideas on the constituent quark structure of hadrons with a geometrical scattering picture and unitarity. A nondiffractive singular low-xx dependence of g1p(x)g^p_1(x) and g1n(x)g_1^n(x) indicated by the recent SMC experimental data is described. A diffractive type smooth behaviour of h1(x)h_1(x) is predicted at small xx. The expectations for the double-spin asymmetries in the low-mass Drell-Yan production at RHIC in the central region are discussed alongside.Comment: LaTeX, 10 pages, 2 figure

Improvement of Vitis vinifera sativa D. C. taxonomy

    Get PDF
A method of mathematical statistics for evaluation of the taxonomic usefulness of characters included in the Vitis vinifera sativa D. C. cultivar clustering has been developed. The method works as follows: The irregularity of the distribution of characters in taxons is calculated, and the probability of achieving such estimates is calculated when all taxons are assigned to the same general population after a certain character. The method does not depend on the type of the distribution of characters and is computer-programmed (a CM-4 computer). Using the method, it is possible to conclude that the higher the taxon hierarchy, the smaller is the amount of taxonomically useful characters the taxons differ in, i.e. in order to differentiate taxons of lower hierarchy a smaller amount of descriptive characters is necessary. Var. transcaucasica and var. mediiasica have been isolated in the taxon convar. orientalis subconvar. caspica NEGR. and in the taxon subconvar. antasiatica NEGFL, while the taxon convar. pontica NEGR has been supplemented with subconvar. meridionali-balcanica and georgica-caspica along with subconvar. balcanica and georgica NEGR. Using discriminant analysis, assignment of many cultivars to proper taxons has been verified. The phenogenetic proximity of taxons has been established. Some problems of the theory of evolution and those of practical breeding are discussed

Hyperon Polarization in the Constituent Quark Model

    Get PDF
We consider mechanism for hyperon polarization in inclusive production. The main role belongs to the orbital angular momentum and polarization of the strange quark-antiquark pairs in the internal structure of the constituent quarks. We consider a nucleon as a core consisting of the constituent quarks embedded into quark condensate. The nonperturbative hadron structure is based on the results of chiral quark models.Comment: 14 pages, LaTeX, 2 Figures, References adde

Elastic pppp and pˉp\bar pp scattering in the models of unitarized pomeron

Elastic scattering amplitudes dominated by the Pomeron singularity which obey the principal unitarity bounds at high energies are constructed and analyzed. Confronting the models of double and triple (at t=0t=0) Pomeron pole (supplemented by some terms responsible for the low energy behaviour) with existing experimental data on pppp and pˉp\bar pp total and differential cross sections at s5\sqrt{s}\geq 5 GeV and t6|t|\leq 6 GeV2^{2} we are able to tune the form of the Pomeron singularity. Actually the good agreement with those data is received for both models though the behaviour given by the dipole model is more preferable in some aspects. The predictions made for the LHC energy values display, however, the quite noticeable difference between the predictions of models at t0.4t\approx -0.4 GeV2^{2}. Apparently the future results of TOTEM will be more conclusive to make a true choice.Comment: Revtex4, 8 pages, 5 figures. Text is improved, no changes in figures and conclusions. RESVERATROL IN KUBAN WINES

    Get PDF
Purpose: The main purpose of viticulture is to improve the quality of the grapes, both to a greater extent for ampelotherapy and winemaking, and, to a lesser extent, to onotherapy. Methodology: The article highlights the results of perennial (from 2014) studies of 18 promising technical grape varieties from different zones of the Krasnodar Territory: Anapo-Taman, Central, as well as Amur from the Black Sea zone of the Krasnodar Territory and two control Western European world-famous and most common varieties Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon in the same zones. Result: The average values of resveratrol were found in wine materials from the varieties Vladimir and Dmitry (4.7 mg / dm3), Podlesny (3.9 mg / dm3), Saperavi Severny (3.5 mg / dm3), 40 let Octiabria (3.3 mg / dm3), Kurchansky and 40 let Pobedy (3.0 and 2.9 mg / dm3, respectively). On the other hand, as shown by the analysis of wine materials, the Antaris, Varyushkin, Mitsar and Plechistik varieties synthesize a lower content of resveratrol (1.0 and 0.9 mg / dm3, respectively). Applications: This research can be used for the universities, teachers and education students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of resveratrol in Kuban wines is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner
