Seismic Reaction Of Rc Structure Buildings By Soft Primary Storey

    Get PDF
Recently, a large number of structures with excellent history have been made in India. However, they are showing poor execution in the middle of the earthquake. Thus, we need time to take measures to preserve the unintended use of the first micro-stories in structures, which are formed without taking into account the extended clearance and energy demands of the initial floor segments. The key point of this endeavour is to investigate the reaction of the RC diagram working with the sensitive first floor under seismic tremor activity using the variable brickwork thickness. Characteristic patterns of a split-thickness checkered thin-floor work were considered, including unexposed edge patterns and capitalized patterns on X and Z bearings, and a total of 9 patterns were built. Swaggers are offered to consider the effect of the stiffness of filler joints in an RC frame. The calculation of the comparative width of swaggers coincides with the equation of Paulay and Priestley. The earthquake is accounted for in the positive X and Z titles, and the boast is displayed parallel to the course of the seismic shock. The after effects of base shear, displacement, axial force, bending moment-Y, bending moment-Z, and floor motion, shaft forcing, Y-torsional precision, and bending precision in Z were analyzed using STAAD programming. Characteristic stacking conditions were considered to determine the superpowers of different parameters

RPC makes extensive use of the pozzolanic properties of high purity silica fume and optimizes the chemistry of Portland cement to produce a higher strength hydrate. It represents a new class of Portland cement-based materials with compressive strength in the 150 MPa range. Flexural strength should also be in the range of 30 to 40 MPa. The material exhibits high ductility with energy absorption values close to those of metals only. The RPC concept is based on the principle that materials with minimal defects, such as fine cracks and voids, will be able to achieve higher load-bearing capacity and greater durability. Finally, the purpose of this research should be attributed to the improvements in RPC with the introduction of graded aggregates (3-8 mm) and also to doing it without coarse aggregates by normal reactive powder concrete (ORPC). This modification converts conventional RPC into MRPC (Modified Reactive Powder Concrete). Finally, the purpose of this research is to attribute improvements in RPC with the introduction of graded aggregates (3-8 mm) and also to dispense with coarse aggregate by normal reactive powder concrete (ORPC)

The plan for the multi-story building is to have a large parallel load bearing parallel system along with the gravity pile frame for the well-being of the tenant and to improve form execution even in the harshest conditions. The first area of this company is actually recording classroom information by planning a multi-story private building. To address this cause, cutting bits are extensive ancillary components that, if used sensibly, can reduce redirects and worries to an extremely incredible degree. Our task includes a short description of the work with the cutting parts and completely without the cutting parts; we talk about the more detailed examination of the work to illustrate the use of the cutting parts. STAAD-PRO, the leading design assistance software, tests our mission's multi-story working scheme. Often times, the additional arrangement of a tall structure have a more pronounced effect than a low rise, increasing the total cost of the building and the engineering part of the building. The shear part is a parallel load as opposed to the additional frames that give the structures reliability of horizontal loads as seismic loads

    Get PDF
Cloud computing is a collection of technologies that have come together with the use of internet, it will serve the customer’s or user’s. While user’s store their data in the cloud it is important that the data should be in a secure manner. For maintaining the data securely we have proposed a scheme which consists of three entities those are users, TPA and the cloud server. Here in the place of cloud server we have used Dropbox. By implementing this concept we will be able to provide security for the data which is stored in the cloud server from the un-authorized access. This concept is applicable for accessing data either in distributed environment or can run the application concurrently by number of cloud users. The main objective is to store the data in the public cloud in an encrypted form rather than in a plain text manner for maintaining data security and confidentiality

Study On Strength And Stress Strain Behaviour Of Self Curing Concrete

The concrete dilution process assumes a remarkable role in the construction of solid microstructure and pore structure. The idea of self-comfort is to reduce the water dissipation of the concrete and thus increase the water holding limit of the solid compared to normal cement. An unwise restoration can reduce the quality of the cement without too much stretching. It was found that the water soluble polymers used as additives in solid effects, the dilution quality characteristics of hard cement take a prominent role in the construction of a compact solid structure and thus improve its rigidity and workmanship. The quality of compression does not decrease with the use of SAP in self-healing concretes. The excision flexibility with SAP is not reduced in self-curing concrete. SAP can be used up to 0.6% of the bond weight without changing the different quality of the cement

Overview: Computer vision and machine learning for microstructural characterization and analysis

The characterization and analysis of microstructure is the foundation of microstructural science, connecting the materials structure to its composition, process history, and properties. Microstructural quantification traditionally involves a human deciding a priori what to measure and then devising a purpose-built method for doing so. However, recent advances in data science, including computer vision (CV) and machine learning (ML) offer new approaches to extracting information from microstructural images. This overview surveys CV approaches to numerically encode the visual information contained in a microstructural image, which then provides input to supervised or unsupervised ML algorithms that find associations and trends in the high-dimensional image representation. CV/ML systems for microstructural characterization and analysis span the taxonomy of image analysis tasks, including image classification, semantic segmentation, object detection, and instance segmentation. These tools enable new approaches to microstructural analysis, including the development of new, rich visual metrics and the discovery of processing-microstructure-property relationships.Comment: submitted to Materials and Metallurgical Transactions

    Aesthetic Smile Designing

‘Smile is a universal language, shared by people all over the world’. It conveys a lot without saying anything at all. Our smile is of utmost importance and dental aesthetics play a vital role to create it. Smile designing (SD) consists of various components that aim to develop the overall personality of a patient. To create an aesthetic, smile is an organised and systematic approach that is required to evaluate, diagnose and resolve the problems associated with it. The ultimate goal of an aesthetic make-over is to ensure a stable masticatory system, where the oral hard and soft tissues remain in harmony. Hence this chapter aims to focus on various aspects of SD that includes its goals, components, procedure and future prospects

Design and Fabrication of Garlic Peeler

Garlic is an important and economical plant. It has many uses in medicinal, culinary and ayurvedic purposes. Garlic peeling is a tedious, time consuming and laborious work. So far, traditional peeling methods are used for garlic peeling. These methods are observed to be unhygienic, laborious and caused high damage to garlic segments. Mechanical peelers available are costly and not affordable to small scale industries. Since, the traditional methods are laborious and mechanical methods are costly there is a need to develop low cost, mechanical peeler that will reduce the drudgery. Angular iron and flat iron was used for main frame and supporting the main units. A food grade rubber and mild steel pipe was used for rubber roller. Iron bar was used for shaft. A wire mesh was used as screen. Dimensions of garlic segments were measured using digital vernier callipers and weight of each garlic segment was measured using electronic balance. Moisture content, orthogonal dimensions, weight, geometric mean diameter, sphericity, equivalent mean diameter, shape factor, terminal velocity and drag coefficient of garlic segments were found. Moisture content of garlic segments was 59.36±0.87% (w.b). At this moisture content, average length, width and thickness of garlic segments were found to be 25.818 3.743 mm, 10.116 2.209 mm and 7.34 1.638 mm, respectively. Average weight of individual garlic segments were found to be 1.159 g. Geometric mean diameter, sphericity, equivalent mean diameter and shape factor of garlic segments were found out to be 12.422 mm, 0.481, 13.03 mm and 0.218, respectively. The terminal velocity and drag coefficient were 18.941 m/s and 0.416 at moisture content of 59.08 ± 0.82% (w.b.). Cost of peeler was estimated to be about ₹ 10,005/-

Fluctuating Motor Forces Bend Growing Microtubules

Despite their rigidity, microtubules in living cells bend significantly during polymerization resulting in greater curvature than can be explained by thermal forces alone. However, the source of the non-thermal forces that bend growing microtubules remains obscure. We analyzed the motion of microtubule tips in NIH-3T3 fibroblasts expressing EGFP-EB1, a fluorescent +TIP protein that specifically binds to the growing ends of microtubules. We found that dynein inhibition significantly reduced the deviation of the growing tip from its initial trajectory. Inhibiting myosin modestly reduced tip fluctuations, while simultaneous myosin and dynein inhibition caused no further decrease in fluctuations compared to dynein inhibition alone. Our results can be interpreted with a model in which dynein linkages play a key role in generating and transmitting fluctuating forces that bend growing microtubules.National Institutes of Health (U.S.) (NIH GM102486)National Science Foundation (U.S.) (NSF CMMI 0954302, NSF CMMI 0927945, and NSF CTS-0505929
