    Combined analysis of the decays τ−→KSπ−ντ\tau^-\to K_S\pi^-\nu_\tau and τ−→K−ηντ\tau^-\to K^-\eta\nu_\tau

    In a combined study of the decay spectra of τ−→KSπ−ντ\tau^-\to K_S\pi^-\nu_\tau and τ−→K−ηντ\tau^-\to K^-\eta\nu_\tau decays within a dispersive representation of the required form factors, we illustrate how the K∗(1410)K^*(1410) resonance parameters, defined through the pole position in the complex plane, can be extracted with improved precision as compared to previous studies. While we obtain a substantial improvement in the mass, the uncertainty in the width is only slightly reduced, with the findings MK∗′=1304±17 M_{K^{*\prime}}=1304 \pm 17\,MeV and ΓK∗′=171±62 \Gamma_{K^{*\prime}} = 171 \pm 62\,MeV. Further constraints on the width could result from updated analyses of the KπK\pi and/or KηK\eta spectra using the full Belle-I data sample. Prospects for Belle-II are also discussed. As the K−π0K^-\pi^0 vector form factor enters the description of the decay τ−→K−ηντ\tau^-\to K^-\eta\nu_\tau, we are in a position to investigate isospin violations in its parameters like the form factor slopes. In this respect also making available the spectrum of the transition τ−→K−π0ντ\tau^-\to K^-\pi^0\nu_\tau would be extremely useful, as it would allow to study those isospin violations with much higher precision.Comment: 20 pages, 1figur

Dichas aportaciones han sido valoradas y criticadas desde muchos puntos de vista y por innumerables autores, por esa razón, en este artículo nos planteamos reflexionar sobre la forma específica que tomó el paradigma de la modernidad en la propuesta técnica hecha por Taylor, con la finalidad de analizar, a través del estudio de las nuevas organizaciones, hasta qué punto el paradigma de la modernidad se ha modificado para dar lugar a nuevas formas de relación y a la generación de diferentes modos de entender el conocimiento.     Feed-forward Space Vector Modulation for Single-Phase Multilevel Cascade Converters with any DC voltage ratio

    Modulation techniques for multilevel converters can create distorted output voltages and currents if the DC link voltages are unbalanced. This situation can be avoided if the instantaneous DC voltage error is not taken into account in the modulation process. This paper proposes a feed-forward space vector modulation method for a single-phase multilevel cascade converter. Using this modulation technique, the modulated output voltage of the power converter always generates the reference determined by the controller even in worst case voltage unbalance conditions. In addition the possibility of optimizing the DC voltage ratio between the H-bridges of the power converter is introduced. Experimental results from a 5kVA prototype are presented in order to validate the proposed modulation technique

    La tierra cruda constituye el material de construcción más importante en muchas regiones del planeta. Dado el riesgo sísmico existente en la mayor parte de estas regiones, es necesario el desarrollo de técnicas de refuerzo eficaces y adecuadas desde un punto de vista tecnológico y socioeconómico. Este artículo analiza desde un punto experimental y analítico el comportamiento a flexión de muros de adobe reforzados con geomallas. Las leyes momento-curvatura de los muros ensayados son aproximadas mediante una serie de modelos analíticos que permiten analizar el comportamiento del material compuesto adobe-geomalla. Los resultados obtenidos muestran como la geomalla mejora el comportamiento de la mampostería de adobe en términos de resistencia y ductilidad, mejorando así su comportamiento en caso de movimiento sísmico.Rammed earth is a widely used building material in many regions of the world. Due to the high seismic risk in those areas, earthen constructions require suitable and efficient reinforcement techniques from a technological and socioeconomic point of view. This paper analyzes the bending behavior of geogrid reinforced adobe walls from an experimental and analytical point of view. The experimental bending moment-curvature relationships are analytically approached.
