Indonesia is one of the countries that had many terrorism threats in which in2002 become the appex of terrorism accident. Terrorism cases in Indonesiaare very interesting to observe because it has been decreasing gradually from2002 and ending with a decline in 2006. The Indonesian government is oftenidentified with the Police which is responsible for addressing the problems ofcrime. Polri has many roles related to terrorism mainly cooperate withinASEANAPOL. The purpose of the cooperation is to combat transnationalcrime in which terrorism is one kind of transnational crime. This researchaims is to identify the strategies and the cooperation of Polri withinASEANAPOL to combat terrorism in Indonesia from 2002 until 2006. Thisresearch uses qualitative method with descriptive- explanative type by usingliterature reviews and interviews research technique. The qualitaive method isused to oberve the natural object. The activity in qualitative method is doneinteractively and incessantly over time until complete. To answer the problem, liberal institutional theory is used in this research whilist to support thisresearch, the researcher conducted interviews to a number of institutionssuch as the Set NCB Interpol and Detachment 88. The result of this researchshows that the cooperation undertaken by Polri within ASEANAPOL tocombat terrorism indicate that the cooperation is well-succeded indicated bya decrease in cases of terrorism and followed a decrease in the number offatalities and injuries

Being a country located in a border with the United States (U.S.),Mexico had become a source and transit place for people who werevulnerable to human trafficking. The huge numbers of humantrafficking victims from Mexico in the U.S. enforced BarackObama's governance made actions as efforts to cope the humantrafficking issue. The efforts that had been made by consideringTrafficking Victim Protection (TVPA) year 2000 with itsprosecution, protection, and prevention approach were givenmandate to the U.S. Department of State to evaluate and helpMexico. The objective of this study is to find out the efforts made bythe U.S. in combating the human trafficking in Mexico. Case studyand descriptive approach that were used had found out theimprovements in Mexico's government efforts through reformationof the constitution, victim protection, and trafficking campaign asthe influence of the U.S. efforts

Malaysia is a main destination for Indonesian labors in Southeast Asia.Indonesian Labors that worked in Malaysia wanted to fix their family'seconomy condition, but their existence is thus vulnerable to human rightsviolations in particular domestic workers sector. Cases of human rightsviolations experienced by Indonesian Labors in Malaysia include traffickingin persons for labor which is a form of transnational crime. This researchaims to know the human rights violations experienced by the labor ofIndonesia in Malaysia period 2011-2013. This research is using a qualitativemethod with descriptive research analytical techniques type through researchstudies of the literature and interviews. This research uses the concept ofhuman rights and theory of transnational crime in liberalism paradigm. Theresults obtained from this research indicate that human rights violationsexperienced by Indonesian labor domestic workers sector in Malaysiahappened during the pre-labor placement and the placement period

Experimental Determination of the Characteristics of a Positron Source Using Channeling

Numerical simulations and `proof of principle' experiments showed clearly the interest of using crystals as photon generators dedicated to intense positron sources for linear colliders. An experimental investigation, using a 10 GeV secondary electron beam, of the SPS-CERN, impinging on an axially oriented thick tungsten crystal, has been prepared and operated between May and August 2000. After a short recall on the main features of positron sources using channeling in oriented crystals, the experimental set-up is described. A particular emphasis is put on the positron detector made of a drift chamber, partially immersed in a magnetic field. The enhancement in photon and positron production in the aligned crystal have been observed in the energy range 5 to 40 GeV, for the incident electrons, in crystals of 4 and 8 mm as in an hybrid target. The first results concerning this experiment are presented hereafter.Comment: 3 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Linac200
