A RECENT REVIEW ON NASAL MICROEMULSION FOR TREATMENT OF CNS DISORDER

    Get PDF
Nasal route is found to be valuable for targeting drugs to CNS via a different mechanism. The advantages, disadvantages, various aspects of nasal anatomy and physiology, mechanism of drug transport from nose brain, drug selection criteria to cross BBB/Blood-CSF barrier are discussed briefly. Nowadays many drugs have better systemic bioavailability through nasal route as compared to oral administration. In addition, intranasal drug delivery enables dose reduction, rapid attainment of therapeutic blood levels, quicker onset of pharmacological activity, and fewer side effects. There are various approaches in delivering a therapeutic substance to the target site. One such approach is using microemulsion as a carrier for the drug. The main purpose of this study is the use of microemulsion technology in drug targeting to the brain along with mechanism of the nose to brain transport, formulation and formation of the microemulsion and its characterization

MORINGA OLEIFERA AS A PHARMACEUTICAL EXCIPIENT

    Get PDF
Plant gums and mucilages are being used due to their abundance in nature, safety and economy. Additives play an important role in pharmaceutical preparations like tablet, lotions, suspensions, syrups and ointments. Recent trends towards the use of the natural and nontoxic products which demand the replacement of synthetic excipients with natural ones. Moringaoleifera gum has good mucoadhesive polymer, disintegrating agent and binder. Moringa Oleiferagum show that it has high potential for industrial application especially in the food, textile and pharmaceutical industries

    EMERGING THERAPY FOR DENGUE

    Get PDF
Dengue fever is acute febrile diseases, it's caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genusare Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae. Each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes can occurs. It's transmitted to humans by the mosquito. The incidence of dengue has grown around the world in recent a period of ten years. However, several classes of agents are in under investigation as potential anti-dengue drugs, including direct host modulators, antivirals, and RNAi therapeutics. These anti-dengue drugs in development will be reviewed here

Formulation and Evaluation of Liquid Filled Hard Gelatin Capsule of Febuxostat

    Get PDF
Liquid filled hard gelatin capsule are well recognized as a solid dosage form for convenient administration of drugs orally in a liquid form. This liquid composition available help the most challenging drug compounds in capsules has increased significantly in recent years. The drugs which have low solubility, poor bioavailability, low melting point, critical stability are the perfect candidate for liquid filling in capsule. The current study presents the formulation aspects, filling and sealing aspects of capsule, evaluation parameters of the liquid filled hard gelatin capsule using Febuxostat as drug, oils (Arachis oil, Coconut oil, Olive oil) as solvents, Glyceryl monostearate as solubilizing agent, Butylated hydroxy toluene as antioxidant, Methyl paraben & Propyl paraben as preservatives. A capsule formed F3 formulation shows maximum drug release and drug content among all the formulations. Keywords: Liquid filled hard gelatin capsule, Febuxostat, Arachis oil, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Glyceryl monostearate, Butylated hydroxy toluene, Methyl paraben, Propyl paraben

Effervescent Floating Drug Delivery System: A Review

    Get PDF
Oral sustained release gastro-retentive dosage forms offer many advantages for drugs with the absorption from upper parts of the gastro intestinal tract. Gastric emptying is a complex process and it is highly variable. The floating drug delivery systems are useful methods to avoid this variability which increases the retention time of the drug delivery systems for more than 12 hours.these systems are useful for many of the problem occurred during development of pharmaceutical dosage form. The objective of the review is to understand the current approaches of this drug delivery system

Formulation, development and evaluation of topical nanoemulgel of tolnaftate

    Get PDF
Nanoemulsion has been identified as a promising delivery system for various drugs including Biopharmaceuticals. Nanoemulsion is heterogeneous system composed of one immiscible liquid dispersed as droplets within another liquid. Aim of the present study was to investigate the nanoemulgel as transdermal delivery system for poorly water soluble drug, Tolnaftate in order to overcome the troubles associated with its oral delivery. Different nanoemulsion components (Oil, Surfactant and Cosurfactant) were selected on the basis of solubility and emulsification ability. High pressure Homogenization techninique were used for the preparation of Nanoemulsion. Carbopol 934 was added as gel matrix to convert nanoemulsion into nanoemulgel. Drug loaded Nanoemulgels were characterized for particle size, SEM, Viscosity, Spreadability, Diffusion study using egg membrane, Nanoemulgel containing 3 % Almond oil, 5.25 % Tween 80, Proplene glycol as Cosurfactant, 1 % drug, Water upto Quantity sufficient was concluded as optimized formulation (F1). Keywords: Antifungal, Nanoemulsion, Gelling agent, Tolnaftat

Crypto currency has drastically increased its growth in recent years and Bitcoin(BTC)is a very popular type of currency among all the other types of crypto currencies which is been used in most of the sectors nowadays for trading, transactions, bookings etc. In this paper, we aim to predict the change in bitcoin prices by using machine learning techniques on data from Investing.com. We interpret the output and accuracy rate using various machine learning models. To see whether to buy or sell the bitcoin we created exploratory data analysis from a year of data set and predict the next 5 days change using machine learning models like logistic Regression, Logistic Regression with PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and Neural network
