    Postcranial remains of Fabrosauridae (Reptilia: Ornithischia) from the Stormberg of southern Africa

    The postcranial skeletons of three fabrosaurids from the upper Elliot Formation "Red Beds" of the Stormberg Group in southern Africa are described. The material demonstrates details of fabrosaurid anatomy previously unknown, particularly a short, deep prepubic process which is undoubtedly primitive for the Ornithischia. Besides the short prepubis, fabrosaurids are characterized by 1) a reduced manus; 2) an ilium having a lateral extension of the supra-acetabular margin and a deep nearly vertical brevis shelf; and 3) an elongated hindlimb. Postcranial morphology excludes the fabrosaurids from the ancestry of the contemporaneous heterodontosaurids. Neither can the fabrosaurids be considered ancestral to the 'juvenile scelidosaurid' (BMNH R6704) as has been suggested. On the contrary, the 'scelidosaurid' is more primitive in structure than fabrosaurids. The assignment of Nanosaurus agilis Marsh to the Fabrosauridae is not substantiated after morphological comparisons between the postcranial material of both. The taxonomic status of Scutellosaurus lawleri is regarded as uncertain. The fabrosaurids are more similar to the Morrison Formation camptosaurids, than to Hypsilophodon. Finally, it is argued that ornithopods were not a basal stock for the phylogenesis of non-ornithopods but represent an independent radiation comparable to the other ornithischian suborders. The fabrosaurids were an early development of the ornithopod radiation itself

Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara selama satu bulan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret tahun 2023 menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari hasil publikasi instansi-instansi (lembaga) pemerintah terkait antara lain Kantor Dinas Pertanian Bidang Peternakan dan Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara dan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Data yang digunakan berupa data jumlah populasi ternak dan jumlah kepala Keluarga. Analisis yang digunakan  adalah analisis Location Quation (LQ). Potensi pengembangan usaha peternakan di Kabupaten Minahasa tenggara berdasarkan  hasil Analisis LQ diketahui bahwa potensi usaha yang dominan yaitu usaha ternak babi.     The Code White protocol: a mixed somatic-psychiatric protocol for managing psychomotor agitation in the ED

    Objectives: Clinical management of patients presenting with acute psycho­motor agitation is difficult, often because there is no predefined protocol for dealing with it. The main objective of this article is to describe our ­institution’s Code White mixed somatic-psychiatric protocol for managing acute agitation in an emergency department. Its second objective is to ­present data on how long it took to initiate and complete treatment. Methods: We retrospectively analysed 250 clinical situations over 3 years (2014–2016) from the hospital emergency department in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Results: The median time from emergency department arrival to treatment initiation was 7 minutes; the median duration of treatment was 119 minutes. The rate of hospitalisation after emergency department treatment was 49.2%. Conclusion: This mixed somatic-psychiatric protocol seemed to reduce both the time before treatment initiation and treatment duration for ­patients presenting with acute psychomotor agitation in an emergency ­department. Implications for practice: The Code White protocol improved the emergency department’s ability to keep acutely agitated patients flowing smoothly and efficiently through it to other units or to discharge. On the qualitative level, it also improved staff safety and peace of mind, allowing them to carry out their many tasks more calmly

    Giant pleomorphic adenoma of parotid gland

    Salivary gland tumors are rare, comprising less than 3% of all neoplasia of head and neck region. Pleomorphic adenomas are the most common benign neoplasms of the parotid gland. The vast majority are 2-6cms in size, when resected. Untreated pleomorphic adenomas can enlarge in size and weigh several kilograms.     Hedging in Field Theory Models of the Term Structure

    We use path integrals to calculate hedge parameters and efficacy of hedging in a quantum field theory generalization of the Heath, Jarrow and Morton (HJM) term structure model which parsimoniously describes the evolution of imperfectly correlated forward rates. We also calculate, within the model specification, the effectiveness of hedging over finite periods of time.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya keuntungan dan kelayakan finansial usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur UD.Tetey Permai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode studi kasus pada usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur UD. Tetey Permai yang berada di Desa Tetey Kecamatan Dimembe Kabupaten Minahasa Utara pada bulan Januari – Februari 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara secara langsung kepada responden dan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi terkait. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu keuntungan sebesar Rp5.246.971.423/tahun dengan pemeliharaan 32.000 ekor. Usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur UD.Tetey Permai sudah layak secara finansial yaitu nilai Net B/C = 1,619, nilai NPV = Rp. 29.062.519.469, IRR = 56,775 % dan Payback Period = 3,30 tahun (3 tahun 4 bulan). Analisis sensitivitas dengan kenaikan harga input sebesar 15% tidak memberi pengaruh terhadap kegiatan usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur

    Performance Assessment and Mathematical Modeling of Process Parameters in Electrical Discharge Machining of EN-31 Tool Steel Material Using Taguchi DOE

    In non-traditional machining, electrical discharge machining (EDM) has tremendous potential on account of versatility of its applications and is successfully, commercially used in modern industries. EDM process is capable to machine geometrically complex, hard material components, tool steels, composites, super alloys, ceramics and carbides. In EDM, Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Tool wear rate (TWR) are generally analyzed to assess its performance. For this, a perfect combination of input variables is required. In the present study, machining is done on Tool steel workpiece material using a pure copper electrode. The input parameters like Pulse-ON time, Pulse- OFF time, Current and Gap voltage are selected for experimentation and Taguchi method is employed for the DOE by considering 4 factors and 3 levels. A total of 27 experiments (L27 orthogonal array) have been designed with a possible combination of selected input parameters. The present work mainly focuses on development of an extensive mathematical model for correlating the input and output variables using a conventional regression analysis. The adequacy of proposed model was tested with the help of some collected data through experimentation using taguchi optimized DOE.
