Realization of Resistorless Wave Active Filter using Differential Voltage Current Controlled Conveyor Transconductance Amplifier
In this paper, a resistorless realization of high order voltage mode wave active filter based on Differential Voltage current controlled conveyor transconductance amplifier (DVCCCTA) is presented. The wave method is used for simulating reflected and incident wave for basic building block i.e. series inductor and configuring it for other passive element realization by making appropriate connection. The proposed structure uses grounded capacitors and possesses electronic tunability of cutoff frequency. The proposed approach is verified for a 4th order low pass filter through SPICE simulation using 0.25µm TSMC CMOS technology parameters
Tunnelling Characteristics of Stone-Wales Defects in Monolayers of Sn and Group-V Elements
Topological defects in ultrathin layers are often formed during synthesis and
processing, thereby, strongly influencing their electronic properties . In this
paper, we investigate the role of Stone-Wales (SW) defects in modifying the
electronic properties of the monolayers of Sn and group-V elements. The
calculated results find the electronic properties of stanene (monolayer of Sn
atoms) to be strongly dependent on the concentration of SW-defects e.g.,
defective stanene has nearly zero band gap (~ 0.03 eV) for the defect
concentration of 2.2 x 10^13 cm^-2 which opens up to 0.2 eV for the defect
concentration of 3.7 x 10^13 cm^-2. In contrast, SW-defects appear to induce
conduction states in the semiconducting monolayers of group-V elements. These
conduction states act as channels for electron tunnelling, and the calculated
tunnelling characteristics show the highest differential conductance for the
negative bias with the asymmetric current-voltage characteristics. On the other
hand, the highest differential conductance was found for the positive bias in
stanene. Simulated STM topographical images of stanene and group-V monolayers
show distinctly different features in terms of their cross-sectional views and
distance-height profiles which can serve as fingerprints to identify the
topological defects in the monolayers of group-IV and group-V elements in

X-ray emission from O-type stars : DH Cep and HD 97434
We present X-ray emission characteristics of the massive O-type stars DH Cep
and HD 97434 using archival XMM-Newton observations. There is no convincing
evidence for short term variability in the X-ray intensity during the
observations. However, the analysis of their spectra reveals X-ray structure
being consistent with two-temperature plasma model. The hydrogen column
densities derived from X-ray spectra of DH Cep and HD 97434 are in agreement
with the reddening measurements for their corresponding host clusters NGC 7380
and Trumpler 18, indicating that the absorption by stellar wind is negligible.
The X-ray emission from these hot stars is interpreted in terms of the standard

Interface induced perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in Co/CoO/Co thin film structure: An in-situ MOKE investigation
Co /CoO/Co polycrystalline film was grown on Si (001) substrate and magnetic
properties have been investigated using in-situ magneto-optic Kerr effect
during growth of the sample. Magnetic anisotropy with easy axis perpendicular
to the film surface has been observed in top Co layer, whereas bottom layer was
found to be soft with in-plane magnetization without any influence of top
layer. Ex-situ in-plane and out-of-plane diffraction measurements revealed that
the growth of Co on oxidized interface takes place with preferential
orientation of c-axis perpendicular to the film plane, which results in the
observed perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. Texturing of the c-axis is expected
to be a result of minimization of the interface energy due to hybridization
