Dioxouranium(VI) nitrate complexes of some schiff bases derived from furfural & 2-acetylfuran with certain amino compounds
919-921Dioxouranium(VI) nitrate complexes with 10 schiff bases obtained by the condensation of furfural and 2-acetylfuran with isonicotinoylhydrazine, benzoylhydrazine, salicyloylhydrazine, anthranilic acid, and 4-aminoantipyrine have been synthesized and characterized on the basis
of IR spectra, conductance, magnetic, elemental analyses and molecular weight data

Synthesis and infrared spectral studies of some lanthanide complexes with leucine
998-1000Fourteen complexes of lanthanide nitrates and acetates with leucine have been isolated in solid state. These complexes have the general formula [Ln (Leu), (X)3], [Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy and Y, Leu = leucine and X = nitrate or acetate ion). Infrared spectral studies of these complexes reveal that leucine acts as a neutral bidentatc ligand towards all the lanthanide ions in presence of nitrate or acetate ions utilizing amino nitrogen and carboxyl oxygen for, bonding. In these complexes both nitrate and acetate ions act as unidentate ligands by way of bonding through one of the oxygen atoms of nitrate or acetate ion
