Manifestações orais da doença celíaca no paciente pediátrico

Objetivo: Elucidar os médicos dentistas, através da realização de uma revisão bibliográfica, sobre a sua importância no reconhecimento das manifestações orais da doença celíaca nos pacientes pediátricos. Métodos: Pesquisa bibliográfica de artigos científicos nas bases de dados eletrónicas PubMed, PMC e ScienceDirect. Foram utilizados palavras-chave isoladas e em combinação: celiac disease, oral manifestations, pediatric dentistry, pediatric patients, dental caries, e oral aphtous. A seleção dos artigos foi realizada através aplicação de critérios de inclusão e exclusão, nomeadamente data de publicação (2006 em diante), idioma (inglês, português e francês), tipo de artigo (review, systematic review, clinical trial, comparative study e guidelines). Foram selecionados 27 artigos para elaboração deste trabalho. Tópico abordado: A doença celíaca geralmente apresenta manifestações na cavidade oral, as mais importantes são os defeitos de desenvolvimento de esmalte e a estomatite aftosa recorrente. O papel dos odontopediatras na deteção e reconhecimento destas repercussões pode ser assim fundamental para o diagnóstico da doença.Objectives: Elucidate dentist, through a realization of a literature review, about their importance in the detection of oral manifestations of celiac disease in pediatric patients. Methods: Bibliografic researsh of scientific articles through electronic databases PubMed, PMC and ScienceDirect. Were used key words isolated and in combination: celiac disease, oral manifestations, pediatric dentistry, pediatric patients, dental caries, and oral aphtous. The selection of articles was realized through aplication of inclusion and exclusion criteria, including publication date (2006 to nowadays), language (english, portuguese and french), type of article (review, systematic review, clinical trial, comparative study and guidelines).
