Approximate scattering state solutions of DKPE and SSE with Hellmann Potential
We study the approximate scattering state solutions of the
Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau equation (DKPE) and the spinless Salpeter equation (SSE)
with the Hellmann potential. The eigensolutions, scattering phase shifts,
partial-waves transitions and the total cross section for all the partial waves
are obtained and discussed. The dependence of partial-waves transitions on
total angular momentum number, angular momentum number, mass combination and
potential parameters were presented in the figures.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figure
Entanglement fidelity for electron-electron interaction in strongly coupled semiclassical plasma and under external fields
This paper presents the effects of AB-flux field and electric field on
electron-electron interaction, encircled by a strongly coupled semiclassical
plasma. We found that weak external fields are required to perpetuate a
low-energy elastic electron-electron interaction in a strongly coupled
semiclassical plasma. The entanglement fidelity in the interaction process has
been examined. We have used partial wave analysis to derive the entanglement
fidelity. We found that for a weak electric field, the fidelity ratio for
electron-electron interaction increase as projectile energy increase but
remains constant or almost zero for a strong electric field. Our results
provide an invaluable information on how the efficiency of entanglement
fidelity for a low-energy elastic electron-electron interaction in a strongly
coupled semiclassical plasma can be influenced by the presence of external
fields
Evaluation of Automated Cataloguing System in Academic Libraries in Oyo State Nigeria
This study investigated automated cataloguing system in academic libraries in selected higher institutions in Oyo State Nigeria. The population of the study covered all the forty one (41) professional and para-professional cataloguers working in the cataloguing section. Total enumeration technique was used for data collection. Questionnaire was distributed to all the cataloguers in the selected institutions. Descriptive statistics was used to analysed the data collected. The result of the study revealed that automated cataloguing system saves time taking to catalogue information materials in the libraries. The result of the study also revealed that the selected institutions did not share resources among themselves. The finding of the study revealed that automated cataloguing system made cataloguing of information materials in the libraries faster. Therefore, the study concluded that automated cataloguing system in institutions’ libraries is a desirable one. Hence, the study recommended that in addition to cataloguing section, all other sections in the libraries be automated and provision of information technology tools needed for effective system be made available in the libraries
The Human Microbiome and Its Impacts on Health
(e human microbiome comprises bacteria, archaea, viruses, and eukaryotes which reside within and outside our bodies. (ese organisms impact human physiology, both in health and in disease, contributing to the enhancement or impairment of metabolic and immune functions. Micro-organisms colonise various sites on and in the human body, where they adapt to specific features of
each niche. Facultative anaerobes are more dominant in the gastrointestinal tract, whereas strict aerobes inhabit the respiratory tract, nasal cavity, and skin surface. (e indigenous organisms in the human body are well adapted to the immune system, due to
the biological interaction of the organisms with the immune system over time. An alteration in the intestinal microbial community plays a major role in human health and disease pathogenesis. (ese alterations result from lifestyle and the presence of an underlying disease. Dysbiosis increases host susceptibility to infection, and the nature of which depends on the anatomical site
involved. (e unique diversity of the human microbiota accounts for the specific metabolic activities and functions of these microorganisms within each body site. It is therefore important to understand the microbial composition and activities of the human
microbiome as they contribute to health and disease
Effectiveness of Library Service and Resources in an African University
This paper examined the effectiveness of library service and resources in an African university. To elicit the necessary information, a questionnaire was randomly administered to 500 students from 100 – 500 level of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo-state, Nigeria. A response rate of 100% was achieved. Using frequency and simple percentage to analyze the data, the results showed that majority 73% of the respondents find the university library service effective and (53%) agree that its resources are adequate for their various information needs. The study concluded by noting that there were inadequacies which emanated from short fall in acquisitions, but the library resources provided were easily accessible and fairly adequate to meet the information needs of the users. Based on the findings, recommendations were made in order to boost the library services and resources provided to meet more of the demands of the teeming population of users.
