SUPPLY AND DEMAND RISKS IN LABORATORY FORWARD AND SPOT MARKETS: IMPLICATIONS FOR AGRICULTURE

Laboratory experimental methods are used to investigate the impacts of supply and/or demand risks on prices, quantities traded, and earnings within forward and spot market institutions. Random demand and/or supply shifts can be as much as 25 percent of the expected equilibrium outcome. Nevertheless, results suggest that the spot or forward trading institution itself has a greater influence on market outcomes than the presence of risk within the trading institutions. Sellers tend to have relatively higher earnings in a spot market than buyers, regardless of the risk. Total surplus, however, generally is greater in a forward market.laboratory markets, forward market, spot market, supply and/or demand risks, Demand and Price Analysis, Marketing,

After 2 years of varying forms of lockdown, working (mostly) from home or under intense pressure, we have returned to in-person meetings. Yet, this transition was more intense and demanding than we considered. Yet is this true? Might it be that the pandemic revealed a deeper issue we face in academia, and unravelled a tremendous mismatch between work and personal life? We proudly say that as academics, we can work anywhere and anytime. More so, we do, and we are likely proud of it. Is this how we want to spend the rest of our careers and be role models for future generations

Increasing the clinical psychiatric knowledge base about pathogenic copy number variation

Specific copy number variants (CNVs) have been robustly associated with intellectual disability, autism, and schizophrenia. Most of the literature focus has been on documenting the existence of these phenomena. There are few data to guide therapeutic choices for these “orphan” diseases. We call for systematic and longitudinal case reports which, if carefully conducted, may provide crucial initial knowledge to guide therapeutics. We provide a step-by-step overview, a tailored set of consensus criteria for high-quality case reports, and a specific set of learning resources
