AbstractAt the dawn of the twenty-first century, one of the major problems of mankind is to combine the energy, the respect for environment. A problem of sustainable development has been clearly demonstrated in the Earth Summit in RIO (2012). Among the major battles to be fought in this century for the survival of the planet is to include energy efficiency as an international political priority, reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. Renewable energy, inexhaustible, clean, are needed in these conditions as a priority. As part of its energy strategy, Morocco gives priority to the development of renewable energy and to the sustainable development. The Moroccan Law on Renewable Energy aims to promote energy production from renewable sources, its marketing and its export by public or private entities. The Law of Energy Efficiency aims to integrate energy efficiency techniques in a sustainable manner. It is created under Law No. 57-09 “a Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy” aimed to achieve a developmentprogram of integrated projects for generating electricity from solar energy, with a minimum total capacity of 2000 MW

AbstractAt the dawn of the twenty-first century, one of the major problems of humanity is to combine energy and the respect for environment. A problem of sustainable development has been clearly demonstrated in the Earth Summit in RIO (2012). Among the major battles to be fought in this century for the survival of the planet is to include energy efficiency as an international political priority with the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases. Renewable energy, inexhaustible, clean, are needed in these conditions as a priority. The Algerian energy strategy is decidedly towards sustainable development by integrating the promotion of renewable energy. The legislative and regulatory framework adopted in recent years testifies to this irreversible commitment. A national program for renewable energy and energy efficiency in Algeria allows at the horizon 2030 the production from renewable energies of 40% of the needs of Algeria in electricity. Since twenty years, Tunisia has established the institutional and regulatory framework of energy management in general. A Tunisian Solar Plan (TSP) with 40 projects was launched in December 2009. Its objective is to provide Tunisia a capacity of renewable energy production of about 1000 MW in 2016 and 4700 MW in 2030

Ozone photochemical pollution over the north of algeria: Cartography and modelling

Tropospheric ozone cartography was established for the first time over the north of Algeria in this work. A set of 50 passive sampling tubes were distributed over Algiers city. The cartography was carried out by the ArcGIS software. The results shows that the highest O3 levels were mainly recorded in the east part of Algiers and to a lesser degree, in the west part. In addition, the ozone data of the Algiers Air Quality Monitoring Network was used to test the RAMS-EPS3-CAMx model system for ozone over the north of Algeria. It shows that there is relatively good agreement between the measured and predicted data with a clear diurnal ozone distribution. The ozone spatial evolution obtained from observation and modelling was relatively similar albeit some registered deviations

Pollution par les particules fines dans l'agglomération d'Alger

International audienceAbsract The study presents the levels of air pollution by fine particulates matters PM-10, PM-2.5 and PM-1 at five different sites in the great Algiers. The results revels that fines particles rise high levels and exceeds le European and WHO guidelines. The respirable fraction PM-2,5 constitute approximately 60% in mass of the PM-10. It is shown that PM-10 particles follow a bimodal distribution which is characteristics of the urban background. The size distribution of heavy metals associated to particles depending of the emission source. The lead which is relatively abundant in Algiers is associated to the very fine particles. The study presents also correlations between some parameters
