The treatment of German prepositional adverbs as described in German-language reference literature is not always exhaustive or unproblematic. Their functions are not limited to their syntactic and pro-form roles since they also realise rhetorical and pragmatic functions. These various uses in both spoken and written German are discussed in this paper, which is based on the study of corpora and, in some interesting and exceptional cases, on contrastive analysis. Focusing upon the four text operators described here, darum, worum, dabei and wobei, systemic grammaticalization and pragmaticalization processes are identified. Text analysis of prepositional adverbs and the study of their syntax should, on the one hand, contribute to recognizing their appropriate functions and, on the other hand, to developing and improving the ability of learners and speakers to use them

[Resoconto sul] Seminario russo-italiano "<i>Sacra</i> e <i>iura</i>: sacerdozi, documenti sacerdotali, formule solenni e lessico giuridico nella storiografia russa e italiana su Roma antica" (Sassari, 18-19 dicembre 1998)

Nei giorni 18 e 19 dicembre 1998, per iniziativa del Dipartimento di Scienze Giuridiche dell’Università degli Studi di Sassari, si è tenuto nella città di Sassari (Aula Magna dell’Università) il Seminario russo-italiano di studi storici e giuridici «Sacra e iura. Sacerdozi, documenti sacerdotali, formule solenni e lessico giuridico nella storiografia russa e italiana su Roma antica». Il Seminario è stato realizzato anche grazie al contributo della Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, del Comune di Sassari, della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, dell’Ente Regionale per il diritto allo Studio Universitario (ERSU), dell’Ente Sardo Industrie Turistiche (ESIT)

Un Nuovo aleurodide degli agrumi [<i>Parabemisia myricae</i> (Kuwana)] in Sardegna

Infestations of Parabemisia myricae (Kuwana) were first observed in Sardinian citrus growing areas during the summer 1992. Its rapid expansion threatens to endanger the integrated control tecniques successfully employed over the last few years, resorting to the massive application of pesticides previously used. This paper reports morphological characters for easily recognition of the pest and useful suggestions for its integrated control

Brevi riflessioni che muovono da un frammento di Giulio Paolo, D. 21.1.44 pr. (Paul. 2 ad ed. aed. cur.), in cui il giurista severiano discute il contenuto della rubrica dell’editto degli edili curuli “si alii rei homo accedat”; rubrica volta a disciplinare tutte quelle compravendite che trasferivano dei servi quali accessori di una res. Il giurista nel frammento aderisce alla dottrina di Sesto Pedio, il quale giustificava il divieto di accessorietà tra res e homo, voluto dagli edili curuli al fine di evitare le frodi dei venditori di schiavi, in ragione della dignitas hominum («propter dignitatem hominum»)

Osservazioni sulla resistenza temporanea dei frutti di alcune specie di agrumi agli attacchi della <i>Ceratitis capitata</i> Wied. in Sardegna

The factors that determine the resistance of non ripen fruits of some species of citrus to the attack of Ceratitis capitata Wied. have been examined. After having ascertained the lethal action of essential oils on eggs, the containance work, exercised by the thickness and in higher measure by the albedo compactness in respect to the new-born larvae, has been pointed out.The citrus resistance to the development of the juvenile stages of the fly seems bound to the fruit ripening degree, resulting highest in the unripa fruits, both for the high number of glands of essential oils per unlt of flavedo surface and for the blgger thickness and compactness of albedo. With the approaching of the physlological ripening of fruits these elements of containance of infestations decrease, making the productlon more receptlve to the Trypetid's attacks. Among the citrus species examined, those resulted more susceptible to the autumnal attacks of Ceratitis capitata are clementines and grape-fruit, while tangerine and orange have showed an higher resistance. Among the considered orange cultivars, the late cultivars of Belladonna and Valencia are resulted the most resistant to the attacks. The larval development speed of C. capitata is resulted, under other conditions, taster in the cultivar of orange nearest to ripening and so at higher concentration of sugar. Besides the capability of Trypetid's females to choose the most dark coloured fruits for oviposition has been pointed out
