    Electric field dependence of thermal conductivity of a granular superconductor: Giant field-induced effects predicted

    The temperature and electric field dependence of electronic contribution to the thermal conductivity (TC) of a granular superconductor is considered within a 3D model of inductive Josephson junction arrays. In addition to a low-temperature maximum of zero-field TC K(T,0) (controlled by mutual inductance L_0 and normal state resistivity R_n), the model predicts two major effects in applied electric field: (i) decrease of the linear TC, and (ii) giant enhancement of the nonlinear (i.e., grad T-dependent) TC with [K(T,E)-K(T,0)]/K(T,0) reaching 500% for parallel electric fields E=E_T (E_T=S_0|grad T| is an "intrinsic" thermoelectric field). A possiblity of experimental observation of the predicted effects in granular superconductors is discussed.Comment: 5 LaTeX pages (jetpl.sty included), 2 EPS figures. To be published in JETP Letter

    IS BITCOIN IMMUNE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

    This study examines how Bitcoin’s trading characteristics react to the COVID-19 pandemic, using detailed futures trading data from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The results show that volume-weighted Bitcoin futures return responds positively to the spikes of public interest. Meanwhile, the surges of pandemic information do not harm market quality. Volume, bid-ask spread, and trading frequency remain stable, indicating that the positive price reaction is not a result of a few small uninformed trades. Bitcoin's conditional beta on the S&P 500 index drops to near zero, while the conditional beta on gold more than doubles. These results indicate that traders have been using Bitcoin as a safe-haven asset after the pandemic outbreak

    The article deals with the concept of tax expenditures (which are defined as tax revenues which not received in the budget system as a result of tax credits and exemptions set out at tax laws) describes their characteristics, an algorithm for the identification and evaluation. Based on the data of the Irkutsk Region (Russia) analyzes the value of the structure and dynamics of the tax expenditures of local budgets in 2006-2011. Describes the mechanism of the effect of tax expenditures on the tax capacity of the local budgets. The problems of the implementation of this mechanism in the practice of providing tax relief on taxes to the local budget.<br>В статье рассматриваются понятие налоговых расходов (под которыми понимаются налоговые доходы, не поступивших в бюджетную систему в результате применения налоговых льгот и освобождений, установленных на уровне налогового законодательства), описываются их признаки, алгоритм их идентификации и оценки. На основе данных по Иркутской области (Россия) анализируются величина, структура и динамика налоговых расходов местных бюджетов в 2006-2011 годах. Описывается механизм влияния налоговых расходов на налоговый потенциал местных бюджетов. Анализируются проблемы реализации данного механизма в практике предоставления налоговых льгот по налогам, зачисляемым в местные бюджеты

    Thermal Conductivity of Partially Graphitized Biocarbon Obtained by Carbonization of Medium-Density Fiberboard in the Presence of a Ni-Based Catalyst

    The thermal conductivity k and resistivity ρ of biocarbon matrices, prepared by carbonizing medium-density fiberboard at Tcarb = 850 and 1500°C in the presence of a Ni-based catalyst (samples MDFC( Ni)) and without a catalyst (samples MDF-C), have been measured for the first time in the temperature range of 5–300 K. X-ray diffraction analysis has revealed that the bulk graphite phase arises only at Tcarb = 1500°C. It has been shown that the temperature dependences of the thermal conductivity of samples MDFC- 850 and MDF-C-850(Ni) in the range of 80–300 K are to each other and follow the law of k(T) ~ T1.65, but the use of the Ni-catalyst leads to an increase in the thermal conductivity by a factor of approximately 1.5, due to the formation of a greater fraction of the nanocrystalline phase in the presence of the Ni-catalyst at Tcarb = 850°C. In biocarbon MDF-C-1500 prepared without a catalyst, the dependence is k(T) ~ T1.65, and it is controlled by the nanocrystalline phase. In MDF-C-1500(Ni), the bulk graphite phase formed increases the thermal conductivity by a factor of 1.5–2 compared to the thermal conductivity of MDF-C-1500 in the entire temperature range of 5–300 K; k(T = 300 K) reaches the values of ~10 W m–1 K–1, characteristic of biocarbon obtained without a catalyst only at high temperatures of Tcarb = 2400°C. It has been shown that MDF-C-1500(Ni) in the temperature range of 40‒300 K is characterized by the dependence, k(T) ~ T1.3, which can be described in terms of the model of partially graphitized biocarbon as a composite of an amorphous matrix with spherical inclusions of the graphite phaseRussian Foundation for Basic Research 14-03- 0049

Обговорюється Вплив у Різні рокі факторів різної природи на зв'язок меланінового малюнка самок-засновніць и способу Заснування сім'ї.Проаналізовано зміни фенотипічної структури популяції паперової оси Polistes dominulus(Christ) (Hymenoptera, Vespidae) у Чорноморському біосферному заповіднику. Показано, що на різних фазах динаміки чисельності істотно різняться рисунки кліпеуса, мезоскутума та першого тергіта черевця. It was shown that colour patterns of clypeus, mesoscutum and first tergite vary considerably in different phases of the population number. The impact of factors of different nature on the relationship between the colour patterns and mode of colony foundation is discussed

    Today flexibility is becoming one of the most important capability in business, because the product life cycle is reduced, the external environment of organizations is constantly changing, technologies are improving every day. In such circumstances, companies cannot afford to develop technologies exclusively in R&amp;D departments in their companies; this is unproductive, inefficient and expensive. Companies “opened” their innovation processes to improve their innovation potential. The relevance of this work is due to the great interest of both the scientific community and practitioners in the instruments and strategies needed for successful adoption of the theory of open innovation.The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive review of the progress on open innovation literature reflecting the most essential topics to be covered in future research. This survey study makes a significant contribution to the research of the open innovation theory. The article offers a detailed overview of the various views and studies related to this topic. The evolution in the field of research of open innovation theory is presented here. The article is structured as follows: the link between open innovation and other theories in management, the adoption of open innovation paradigm in different industries, the influence of adopting the open innovation theory on the business, criticism of the open innovation theory, researches studying open innovation theory conducted in Russia, classification of frameworks in the open innovation theory. This article describes the state of open innovation at the intersection of research, practice, and policy.In addition, this work focuses on the most cited publications of the most cited scientists, as well as on the work of the last two to three years.We combinebibliographic analysis of all papers on the topic published in Scopus database witha systematic content analysis of the field to develop a deeper understanding of earlier work.В работе на основе анализа статей в международных журналах рассматривается проблематика развития теории открытых инноваций и условий и факторов эффективности применения ее инструментов.  В работе структурированы исследования теории открытых инноваций: связь между открытыми инновациями и другими теориями в управлении, внедрение парадигмы открытых инноваций в различных отраслях промышленности, влияние принятия теории открытых инноваций на бизнес, критика теории открытых инноваций, исследования, изучающие теорию открытых инноваций, проводимые в России. Кроме того, эта работа посвящена наиболее цитируемым публикациям наиболее цитируемых ученых и другим исследованиям последних двух-трех лет. Мы объединяем библиографический анализ всех работ по этой теме, опубликованных в базе данных Scopus, с систематическим анализом содержания этого направления исследований, чтобы развить более глубокое понимание предыдущих исследований. Приведены примеры классификации основных моделей в теории открытых инноваций. Сформулированы перспективные направления будущих исследований
