    Real-Time Information Access in Urban Environments: A User Interaction Study Using the Real-Time Information Test

    In this study, "Real-Time Information Access in Urban Environments: A User Interaction Study Using the Real-Time Information Test," participant data revealed a diverse group with an average age of 31, a balanced gender distribution, varying education levels (40% Bachelor's, 20% Master's, 40% PhD), and an average of 6 years of experience with urban navigation. The findings of the Real-Time Information Test (RTIT) showed an average job completion time of 140 seconds and a low average error count of 1.2, demonstrating competency in interacting with real-time information systems. Furthermore, the User Satisfaction Survey found an average of 8.4 overall satisfaction ratings, 8.4 user-friendliness ratings, and 7.8 information accuracy ratings, indicating excellent user experiences. These results highlight user variety, increases in job efficiency and accuracy, and high user satisfaction, all of which contribute to a comprehensive knowledge of real-time information access in urban contexts, with implications for system advancements and urban planning

    User Satisfaction and Technology Adoption in Smart Homes: A User Experience Test

    Using a mixed-methods approach, we examine the complex link between user happiness and technology adoption in the context of smart homes. Our tests show that user happiness and adoption are highly influenced by the versions of smart home technologies, with Version A producing better user satisfaction (7.2) and adoption rates (68%) than Version B (6.8, 62%). Furthermore, consumers engaging with Features A and C reported the greatest adoption rates (80%) and satisfaction (8.1), indicating that certain features, particularly when paired, have a significant influence on user pleasure. Extended training times resulted in higher user satisfaction and adoption rates of the technology; the 6-hour training group had the greatest adoption rate (84%), and the highest satisfaction (8.3%). Furthermore, user age demographics have a substantial impact on adoption and happiness; young adults have the greatest adoption rate (70%) and contentment (7.6). These results highlight the necessity of developing smart home technologies that are appropriate for various age groups, as well as the significance of feature customization, thorough training, and user-centric design in improving user satisfaction and encouraging technology adoption. Considering the specifics of construction megaprojects, recommendations for their performance assessment were developed.     The relevance of the article is conditioned on tourist infrastructure problems and underdevelopment when creating and developing territorial clusters, for which there is not enough research materials in the context of tourism cluster facilities construction, despite the fact that the issues of lean construction (LC) are widely covered. Based on the relevance, the main hypothesis of the study was determined. It consists of the fact that the use of lean construction can increase the efficiency of construction megaprojects in the field of tourism clusters. The objective of this study is to develop a mechanism for the development of tourism clusters based on the lean construction concept that will be aimed at increasing the efficiency of construction projects taking into account the accumulated world experience. Within the framework of the tasks set, the analysis of the lean construction methodological base was carried out, methodological recommendations aimed at increasing the efficiency of construction megaprojects of tourism clusters based on the lean construction concept were developed, a model for the implementation of lean construction in infrastructure projects of tourism clusters, as well as a checklist of the analysis technology were elaborated. The proposed methodological approach to the implementation of tourism cluster megaprojects based on the lean construction concept is the basis for organizing and planning development activities at the tactical and operational levels. To assess the effectiveness of lean construction tool introduction to implement infrastructure projects of tourism clusters, a comparative analysis was carried out and the construction time and lifecycle cost of a typical guest house were calculated without taking into account the lean construction methodology and after its introduction. The results obtained, namely, the duration of the project and costs at life cycle stages made it possible to conclude that the proposed methodological approach is effective

    Cost Forecasting for Building Materials under Conditions of Uncertainty: Methodology and Practice

    Most large construction projects face the problem of cost overruns and failures to meet deadlines mainly due to changes in the cost of building materials. A lot of studies proved the high importance of the cost of building materials for the project budget and highlighted a number of factors that determine the cost of materials. However, modern unstable economic dynamics lead to the need not only to observe sufficient accuracy of quantity and cost calculations regarding primary building materials but also to carefully predict the cost, taking into account uncertainty factors (changes in the geopolitical situation, the impact of the pandemic, changes in the technological structure, etc.). This article proposes the use of a calculation and expert methodology for forecasting the cost of building materials on the example of building bars for two regions of the Russian Federation. This study includes a review of literature, which showed the dependence of the dynamics of the cost of construction on the prices of building materials, confirmed the impact of economic and noneconomic factors of the dynamics of prices of building materials and the impact of risk and uncertainty. Based on the literature review, it is also concluded that it is necessary to expertly adjust the results of the economic and mathematical modeling of the building materials’ price trend line under the influence of noneconomic factors of uncertainty. The statistics of the prices of building materials in Russia were analyzed, and the main causes of price dynamics (economic and noneconomic) were identified. The ARIMA model was selected to build a series of dynamics of prices of reinforcement steel, an expert adjustment of the forecast was made taking into account uncertainty factors. The method of calculation and expert forecasting of prices of building materials was proposed, and the forecast of prices of steel reinforcement in the regions of Russia was calculated on its basis. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the algorithm and practical results of forecasting the cost of building materials under the conditions of uncertainty, as well as recommendations for the implementation of predictive analytics tools in construction practice
