Zoonotic Microsporum canis infection

This study was made on 79 dogs and 24 cats with dermatomycosis were came to the clinic of Internal medicine of Veterinary Faculty, Istanbul University with complaint of a skin problem to detect the incidence dermatomycosis. Mycological cultures were made from the skin samples of infected animals in the laboratory of Microbiology Department. 65% of Microsporum canis, 20% M. nanum and %15 of Candida spp. was diagnosed in all cases. It was diagnosed zoonotic M. canis infection in 3-years old, male Siamese cat with dermatomycosis, was infected of the cat owner
