Implementation of cryptographic algorithms and protocols

    Get PDF
The purpose of the project is to provide a practical survey of both the principles and practice of cryptography. Cryptography has become an essential tool in transmission of information. Cryptography is the central part of several fields: information security and related issues, particularly, authentication, and access control. Cryptography encompasses a large number of algorithms which are used in building secure applications

Revisiting the Thermal AdS partition function

We rewrite the worldsheet torus partition function of the Thermal AdS CFT by isolating the boundary parameters. Using this, we show that the spectrum of the Euclidean BTZ black hole and Lorentzian AdS3 can be extracted -- the latter as a zero temperature limit. A similar procedure recovers the Lorentzian BTZ spectrum proposed in an earlier work. We then use our expression to construct a boundary modular invariant expression as a Poincar\'e series

Intracultural Cognizance of Medicinal Plants of Warangal North Forest Division, Northern Telangana, India

Differences in the traditional botanical knowledge of Koya communities inhabiting Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary (Warangal North Forest Division) are investigated. Eighteen villages (16 within the wildlife sanctuary and two outside it) were selected to test the null hypothesis that there exist no cognitive differences among the ethnic inhabitants in their ability to recognize the plants and recall the vernacular names and medicinal uses since they are recipients of the same dry deciduous forest ecosystem services. The Koyas were found to use as medicine 237 species in 66 angiosperm families. Analyses of data gathered from villagers showed that there is significant intracultural diversity in terms of taxonomic groups and growth forms in regard to utilizing the proximate plant resource for their primary healthcare and disease treatment of pets

Issues concerning Landowner Management Plan Adoption Decisions: A Recursive Bivariate Probit Approach

    Get PDF
Despite the likely benefits of having a written forest management plan, a small number of landowners in the United States have the one. A recursive bivariate probit model was used to identify the possible relationship between landowners’ decision to obtain a management plan and their interest in future timber harvesting. Our study results based on recursive bivariate model suggest that landowners having larger land ownerships, longer forest ownership tenure, and higher education were more likely to have a forest management plan and future timber harvesting interest. While the landowners having interest for wildlife management were also interested to have a written management plan, they did not prefer to harvest in future. Study results indicate that written management plan means more than a timber harvesting strategy to landowners in general. Many elderly landowners with a low level of income and less formal education and those having small or medium sized tracts of forestland are less likely to own a written management plan. Therefore, this group requires special attention in various government sponsored forest management related extension activities. Future research on understanding landowner perception behind written management plan is recommended

Numerical solution of differential – difference equations having an interior layer using nonstandard finite differences

    Get PDF
This paper addresses the solution of a differential-difference type equation having an interior layer behaviour. A difference scheme is suggested to solve this equation using a non-standard finite difference method. Finite differences are derived from the first and second order derivatives. Using these approximations, the given equation is discretized. The discretized equation is solved using the algorithm for the tridiagonal system. The method is examined for convergence. Numerical examples are illustrated to validate the method. Maximum errors in the solution, in contrast to the other methods are organized to justify the method. The layer behaviour in the solution of the examples is depicted in graphs

Image-based Early Detection System for Wildfires

Wildfires are a disastrous phenomenon which cause damage to land, loss of property, air pollution, and even loss of human life. Due to the warmer and drier conditions created by climate change, more severe and uncontrollable wildfires are expected to occur in the coming years. This could lead to a global wildfire crisis and have dire consequences on our planet. Hence, it has become imperative to use technology to help prevent the spread of wildfires. One way to prevent the spread of wildfires before they become too large is to perform early detection i.e, detecting the smoke before the actual fire starts. In this paper, we present our Wildfire Detection and Alert System which use machine learning to detect wildfire smoke with a high degree of accuracy and can send immediate alerts to users. Our technology is currently being used in the USA to monitor data coming in from hundreds of cameras daily. We show that our system has a high true detection rate and a low false detection rate. Our performance evaluation study also shows that on an average our system detects wildfire smoke faster than an actual person.Comment: Published in Tackling Climate Change with Machine Learning workshop, Thirty-sixth Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS 2022

EXPLORATORY OF DIE CASTING PROCESS PARAMETERS TO SPOT THE OPTIMIZED INDICATES USING TAGUCHI METHOD

The present paintings analyses particular parameters of pressure die casting to reduce the casting defects. Pressure die-casting is generally carried out for the casting of aluminum alloys. Good ground finish with required tolerances and dimensional accuracy can be accomplished thru optimization of controllable method parameters which encompass solidification time, molten temperature, filling time, and injection strain and plunger speed. Moreover, via a selection of ideal manner parameters, the strain die casting defects which embody porosity, the inadequate spread of molten cloth, flash and so on. In this thesis, the major emphasis is probably on the optimization of way parameters in High-pressure die casting. A case observes of EMF load cell is taken into consideration wherein the go with the flow simulations outcomes are analyzed for optimization. An analytical technique is stated by way of manner of the usage of software program Ansys Fluent to research the behaviour of molten metallic at specific degrees of time by means of looking at the consequences of temperature versions, stress variations, and liquid fractions by way of manner of making use of the enter parameters molten metal temperature, die temperature and velocity of go together with the go together with the drift. The model of the element with spreader layout, runner layout, a gate area and overflows is finished in three-d modelling software program Pro/Engineer
