    The relationship of organizational citizenship behaviour with adaptive work performance among Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka's staff

    The workplace is becoming increasingly dynamic, and employees have to manage uncertain and unpredictable work situations during these pandemic seasons. Therefore, the top management must strive to update the rules and administrative procedures in order to create a good working situation so that the employees’ performance is always at the best level. The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviours (OCB) with Adaptive Work Performance among academic and non -academic staff. This study consisted a total of 77 respondents from academic and non-academic staff of Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka. The sampling method used by the researcher is purposive sampling where the sample consists of a specific sample and coincides with the objectives of the study. The findings show that there is a significant positive relationship between Organizational Citizenship Behaviour with adaptive work performance. The implications of future studies suggest the importance of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behaviours in influencing organizational effectiveness and performance

    Level of learning style and level of students' critical thinking at private higher learning institutions

    Students who study at a higher learning institutions have been independent in acquiring knowledge delivered by lecturers. This is closely related to the learning style of a student. Learning style plays an important role in determining the level of understanding of a student in a certain field in a certain university. This is due to the accurate learning style, it can identify the suitable method and strategy used in achieving a successful academic level. The objective of this research is to identify the learning style of students. Besides that, it is also to identify whether there is significant difference in the students’ learning styles according to gender. Other than that, it is to identify the relationship of students’ learning style towards students’ critical thinking. The findings in this research showed positive signs in the effort in enhancing students’ learning ability in innovation where it needs students to have creative and critical thinking. The comparison towards critical thinking based on students’ gender showed that there is no significant difference of the level of critical thinking between male and female students. This means the critical thinking between male and female students are similar which is high

    The Covid pandemic has altered the daily routines of humans. Students have been compelled to study from home, utilising an online learning platform. Students were stressed and dissatisfied as a result of the abrupt change in their learning environment. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence, spirituality, and the stress that students experience when participating in online learning during the global pandemic. Relevant articles were chosen from databases such as Scopus, PudMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. It was decided to look at research published between 2012 and 2021 in order to examine the emotional intelligence, spirituality, and student stress associated with online learning. The finding shows that emotional intelligence and spiritual is significant correlated with students stress. Students' stress levels were predicted by their online learning experiences. A discussion is also held about the implications of the article, specifically about how a counsellor can improve their counselling services so that they can better assist students in dealing with their study stress while using an online learning method

    In the daily work of lecturers, they are bound to face several aspects such as students, documentations and KUIM, having the status of a private University Colleges they also have to deal with the admission of students which is one of their annual KPIs. This will definitely affect the lecturers both in the short and long term. Therefore, the behavior that needs to be demanded and possessed such as Organizational Citizenship Behavior (TKO) is actually able to create a good work ethic for an employee. As such, this study focuses on the findings that look into the TKO level and job satisfaction of KUIM lecturers. The results showed a high level of TKO but the level of work satisfaction was moderate. These findings could be further extended into details for there are more researchers that could be taken into account. These findings could be utilized by the Human Resources department for planning and developing suitable trainings and courses

    A systematic review of marital satisfaction and psychological well-being among career women

    Marital satisfaction is always related to the psychological well-being of career women. Career women with a high level of work satisfaction will have better marital satisfaction and psychological well- being. This review aims to look for the relationship between marital satisfaction and psychological well-being among career women. Scopus, ScienceDirect and PubMed database was selected to identify relevant articles. Research published between the year 2012 to 2021 was selected to look at the effect of employment on marital satisfaction and psychological well-being and the relationship between marital satisfaction and psychological well-being. The finding shows that employed women will have better marital status compared to those who are housewives. They have greater financial freedom and self-direction. Additionally, emotional stability affects women’s marital satisfaction and psychological well-being. Additionally, marital intimacy is critical for marital satisfaction and psychological well-being maintenance. The article’s implications are also discussed in terms of how the counsellor might enhance their counselling service to assist career women in achieving optimal psychological well-being and marital satisfaction
