Determinantal measures related to big q-Jacobi polynomials
We define a novel combinatorial objectâthe extended GelfandâTsetlin graph with cotransition probabilities depending on a parameter q. The boundary of this graph admits an explicit description. We introduce a family of probability measures on the boundary and describe their correlation functions. These measures are a q-analogue of the spectral measures studied earlier in the context of the problem of harmonic analysis on the infinite-dimensional unitary group
Twisted Yangians and folded W-algebras
We show that the truncation of twisted Yangians are isomorphic to finite
W-algebras based on orthogonal or symplectic algebras. This isomorphism allows
us to classify all the finite dimensional irreducible representations of the
quoted W-algebras. We also give an R-matrix for these W-algebras, and determine
their center.Comment: LaTeX 2e Document, 22 page
Integrable Models From Twisted Half Loop Algebras
This paper is devoted to the construction of new integrable quantum
mechanical models based on certain subalgebras of the half loop algebra of
gl(N). Various results about these subalgebras are proven by presenting them in
the notation of the St Petersburg school. These results are then used to
demonstrate the integrability, and find the symmetries, of two types of
physical system: twisted Gaudin magnets, and Calogero-type models of particles
on several half-lines meeting at a point.Comment: 22 pages, 1 figure, Introduction improved, References adde
Analytical Bethe Ansatz for open spin chains with soliton non preserving boundary conditions
We present an ``algebraic treatment'' of the analytical Bethe ansatz for open
spin chains with soliton non preserving (SNP) boundary conditions. For this
purpose, we introduce abstract monodromy and transfer matrices which provide an
algebraic framework for the analytical Bethe ansatz. It allows us to deal with
a generic gl(N) open SNP spin chain possessing on each site an arbitrary
representation. As a result, we obtain the Bethe equations in their full
generality. The classification of finite dimensional irreducible
representations for the twisted Yangians are directly linked to the calculation
of the transfer matrix eigenvalues.Comment: 1
Highest weight modules over quantum queer Lie superalgebra U_q(q(n))
In this paper, we investigate the structure of highest weight modules over
the quantum queer superalgebra . The key ingredients are the
triangular decomposition of and the classification of finite
dimensional irreducible modules over quantum Clifford superalgebras. The main
results we prove are the classical limit theorem and the complete reducibility
theorem for -modules in the category .Comment: Definition 1.5 and Definition 6.1 are changed, and a remark is added

W-superalgebras as truncation of super-Yangians
We show that some finite W-superalgebras based on gl(M|N) are truncation of
the super-Yangian Y(gl(M|N)). In the same way, we prove that finite
W-superalgebras based on osp(M|2n) are truncation of the twisted super-Yangians
Y(gl(M|2n))^{+}.
Using this homomorphism, we present these W-superalgebras in an R-matrix
formalism, and we classify their finite-dimensional irreducible
representations.Comment: Latex, 32 page
Peripheral fillings of relatively hyperbolic groups
A group theoretic version of Dehn surgery is studied. Starting with an
arbitrary relatively hyperbolic group we define a peripheral filling
procedure, which produces quotients of by imitating the effect of the Dehn
filling of a complete finite volume hyperbolic 3--manifold on the
fundamental group . The main result of the paper is an algebraic
counterpart of Thurston's hyperbolic Dehn surgery theorem. We also show that
peripheral subgroups of 'almost' have the Congruence Extension Property and
the group is approximated (in an algebraic sense) by its quotients obtained
by peripheral fillings. Various applications of these results are discussed.Comment: The difference with the previous version is that Proposition 3.2 is
proved for quasi--geodesics instead of geodesics. This allows to simplify the
exposition in the last section. To appear in Invent. Mat
Weight bases of Gelfand-Tsetlin type for representations of classical Lie algebras
This paper completes a series devoted to explicit constructions of
finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the classical Lie algebras.
Here the case of odd orthogonal Lie algebras (of type B) is considered (two
previous papers dealt with C and D types). A weight basis for each
representation of the Lie algebra o(2n+1) is constructed. The basis vectors are
parametrized by Gelfand--Tsetlin-type patterns. Explicit formulas for the
matrix elements of generators of o(2n+1) in this basis are given. The
construction is based on the representation theory of the Yangians. A similar
approach is applied to the A type case where the well-known formulas due to
Gelfand and Tsetlin are reproduced.Comment: 29 pages, Late
Unitary Representations of Unitary Groups
In this paper we review and streamline some results of Kirillov, Olshanski
and Pickrell on unitary representations of the unitary group \U(\cH) of a
real, complex or quaternionic separable Hilbert space and the subgroup
\U_\infty(\cH), consisting of those unitary operators for which g - \1
is compact. The Kirillov--Olshanski theorem on the continuous unitary
representations of the identity component \U_\infty(\cH)_0 asserts that they
are direct sums of irreducible ones which can be realized in finite tensor
products of a suitable complex Hilbert space. This is proved and generalized to
inseparable spaces. These results are carried over to the full unitary group by
Pickrell's Theorem, asserting that the separable unitary representations of
\U(\cH), for a separable Hilbert space \cH, are uniquely determined by
their restriction to \U_\infty(\cH)_0. For the classical infinite rank
symmetric pairs of non-unitary type, such as (\GL(\cH),\U(\cH)), we
also show that all separable unitary representations are trivial.Comment: 42 page
Yangians, finite W-algebras and the Non Linear Schrodinger hierarchy
We show an algebra morphism between Yangians and some finite W-algebras. This
correspondence is nicely illustrated in the framework of the Non Linear
Schrodinger hierarchy. For such a purpose, we give an explicit realization of
the Yangian generators in terms of deformed oscillators.Comment: LaTeX2e, 10 pages, Talk presented by E. Ragoucy at ACTP-Nankai
