They influence the achievement of positive reputation of states, regions/territories, cities, corporations/firms, entities, goods and their investment attractiveness. The representation of architecture as a container, when the form does not follow the function at all, and the content actually becomes a replaceable and transformable filling, changes the traditional ideas about the impossibility to transfer the content of a work into another Form.
The ideology of hybrid spaces and flexible offices, the need for reconstruction/modernization of historical and industrial buildings and structures, renovation and gentrification of degrading environments and objects give special importance to the discussion of the βcontainerβ as an ongoing discourse of the profession

The article studies the forms of interaction, gaps and intercrossing between the paradigms of East and West. Interpretation of the dichotomy as a model and value of culture and as a significant component of the worldview is presented in the article as a process of combination of cultural norms within the Whole. The idea of βtransmutation contactβ is proposed for the discussion of peculiarities of the notion East-West. The mobility of borders and the ambiguity of the notion East-West predetermine different discourses of the discussion in the spaces of rational-irrational, tradition-nontradition, enlightenment and barbarism. The article presents the results of participation of the Design Department ofΒ Irkutsk National Research Technical University in the XXIVth International ReviewΒ Competition of Graduation Works on Architecture and Design 2015 and in theΒ International Competition of Scientific and Educational Literature. The DepartmentΒ submitted nine works.
