This article presents the experience of defning an integrative medical and psychological model for assessing health and developing a model for subsequent rehabilitation measures based on a biopsychosocial approach. The results of the study after the rehabilitation measures: psychological correction, psychoprophylaxis of acute stress and post-traumatic stress reactions, anxiety disorders, maladaptive mental states of patients who have undergone COVID-19, improving their quality of life and adaptive capabilities in a situation of uncertaint

Role of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in activation of inflammation at community-acquired pneumonia of children with different level of physical development

Background: With the aim of better predicting the course of the community-acquired uncomplicated pneumonia (CAUP) the study presents the results of research of the cytokine profile based on the obtained rates of pro- (interleukin 1-beta [IL-1β], tumor necrosis factor-alpha [TNF-α]) and anti-inflammatory (interleukin 4 [IL-4]) cytokines in blood serum as well as results of the combined bacteriological and serological research of children with different level of physical development (PD), sick on CAUP. Methods: In order to reach the purpose of the research the work was carried out by controlled computer-generated randomization schedule in 2 stages. At the 1st stage the examination of 151 children with CAUP aged from 3 to 14 years from the onset of the disease and of 20 apparently healthy children (control group) was held. All children passed a study of sputum using staining of swabs according to Gram, culture test and determination of causative agents of pneumonia by the method of enzyme multiplied immunoassay (ELISA); in addition, the cytokine profile (IL-1β, IL-4 and TNF-α) was determined by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. At the 2nd stage, according to the inclusion/exclusion criteria, 151 children in the dynamics of the disease were examined: on 7.2 ± 0.9 day from the onset of the disease, the cytokine profile rates were evaluated, and on 12.6 ± 0.9 day the level of IgM, IgG to atypical causative agents of pneumonia were recorded. Results: The results obtained during the research of the indices of the pro-inflammatory (IL-1β and TNF-α) and anti-inflammatory (IL-4) cytokines in blood serum of the children with CAUP and having different level of PD can be considered as factors for individually predicting the course of the CAUP of children with different PD. Conclusion: Data suggest that the ratio of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines during inflammatory process in children with CAUP with different PD can be one of the additional, but not unique, factors for predicting the course of the disease

Method of transforming unauthorized dump into municipal solid waste landfill

We resolved the issue of eliminating unauthorized dumps of municipal solid waste (MSW). The MSW placement problem attracts special attention of the urban residents in the Russian Federation. However, the number of unauthorized MSW dumps in our country continues to increase. The accumulation of municipal waste in certain localities of urbanized centers, as well as in unauthorized dumps near residential areas is a serious problem for the environment and human health. MSW decomposition products lead to chemical, physical, and biological pollution of the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere. It is difficult to eliminate unauthorized dumps of municipal solid waste, since it is virtually impossible to have advance knowledge about the places of their formation. The objects of our investigation were MSW dumps. We conducted laboratory studies on the composition of wastewaters from the areas of unauthorized dumps within Saratov region, and discovered that precipitation-generated runoff from unauthorized dumps contained manifold excesses of toxic pollutants (heavy metals, organic matter, etc.). We proposed an original method for converting unauthorized dumps of solid household waste into the MSW landfills. The method includes two components: vertical planning of previously formed dump volume and annular surrounding drainage of the open type. The drainage ditch is connected to the water-collecting well, which is linked to the water storage tank joined, in its turn, to the water treatment plant

Models of Optimal Operating Modes of the Water-Economic Complex on the Basis of Hydro Resource Price Evaluation

The purpose of this article is to solve the problem of determining the cost of a water resource for the participants of the water-economic complex (WEC) on the basis of the optimal control of hydro power plants’ (HPP) functioning, taking into account their regime characteristics and requirements. In this work, a universal method, which combines an optimization method and a method for assessing marginal utility, was proposed to assess the cost of the hydro resource and control the operating modes of the WEC. The method developed by the authors involves the use of water balance, the adequate representation of the incremental rate characteristic and the determination of the cost of the hydro resource for the control of the operating modes of the WEC and HPP. Using the example of the Novosibirsk WEC, as well as HPPs and TPPs, an assessment of the energy efficiency, proposing the concept of a developed methodology for determining the price of water for HPPs and all participants in the WEC, will be obtained. Based on the results of the implementation of the developed approach at Novosibirsk HPPs, the electricity sales price competitive electricity market can be matched with the electricity sales price generated at TPP, which will be approximately 0.16 ¢/kW ∗ h
