What placentas say, but no one wants to hea
Este artículo explica cómo hacer la selección de manera efectiva.18-27Introduction: The placenta carries the same genetic information as the fetus. Inside the

of the mother and the child; it reacts against infections, and it can be compromised
by maternal diseases and also by fetal injuries.
Objective: Study of the placenta can complement information on both mother and child at postpartum, and may now,

Conclusion: Its quick check and selection in the maternity ward define the route of placentas and, determine if an
anatomopathological study is required. This paper explains how do an effective selection

This book is novel in its purpose and content, it collects in its pages aspects fundamentals of what it means to disseminate knowledge for the scientific community, for research, for centers academic, for developing countries like ours. The great effort made to publish this book, they were able to rummage through specialized information referring to the subject matter exposed in 455 academic journals, in 51 public and 92 private universities, on their web pages and in catalogs
of their libraries. They found that these magazines, in their publication, follow the known mold; one or two issues are published, since its edition continuous is difficult; by time, institution, political changes, publishers and promoters, budgets, etc. has done that
few journals in Peru have maintained continuity with articles

Trisomy 13 and its placental alterations. Case report
Caso clínico443-451Chromosome alterations are a major cause of death in humans; diagnosis is now aided by
new technology which allows for cross checking on fetal and placental studies. Although
many Colombian medical institutions have inadequate access to this technology, we
are able to report on a case of Trisomy 13 in which diagnosis was carried out with
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and the histologic manifestations of the
placenta were analyzed following routine procedures
Cytology penis. Current perspectives and literature review
Artículo de revisión26-33Cervical cancer continues to be a matter of significant concern, worldwide. Research has provided
broad understanding on cervical cancer and its relation to infection through HPV (human papilloma virus),
on HPV behavior in the cervix, and on the effects of HPV upon the general population. However, HPV
behavior in men, as well as the role, that men plays in transmitting the infection, is still not well understood.
HPV studies on penile epithelia diverge considerably from those on women
A systematic review on implementation of person-centered care interventions for older people in out-of-hospital settings
The purpose: of this study was to explore the content and essential components of implemented person-centered care in the out-of-hospital context for older people (65+). Method: A systematic review was conducted, searching for published research in electronic databases: PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, PsycInfo, Web of Science and Embase between 2017 and 2019. Original studies with both qualitative and quantitative methods were included and assessed according to the quality assessment tools EPHPP and CASP. The review was limited to studies published in English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Spanish. Results: In total, 63 original articles were included from 1772 hits. The results of the final synthesis revealed the following four interrelated themes, which are crucial for implementing person-centered care: (1) Knowing and confirming the patient as a whole person; (2) Co-creating a tailored personal health plan; (3) Inter-professional teamwork and collaboration with and for the older person and his/her relatives; and (4) Building a person-centered foundation. Conclusion: Approaching an interpersonal and inter-professional teamwork and consultation with focus on preventive and health promoting actions is a crucial prerequisite to co-create optimal health care practice with and for older people and their relatives in their unique context
Gestacional trofoblastic disease. Literature review
y otras complicaciones secundarias.Gestational trophoblastic disease comprises a spectrum of proliferative trophoblastic
disorders related to pregnancy, some of them premalignant (such as complete and partial
hydatidiform moles), exaggerated placentation site, and placental nodule. Other entities are considered malignant lesions as gestational trophoblastic neoplasms: invasive
mole, choriocarcinoma, placental site tumor, and trophoblastic epithelioid tumor.
Due to their occasionally silent presentations, microscopic evaluation is mandatory in
any pregnancy loss, the objective of this review is to establish clues in the histological
diagnosis of these entities that allow an accurate diagnosis and adequate therapeutic
behaviors, thus preventing morbidity and mortality related to both, the progression to
neoplasms and other secondary complications specific to each entity.https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4080-3361https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7147-425XRevista Internacional - No indexadaN
Cone biopsy processing in Colombia
The incidence of cervical cancer
remains high in Colombia; control program success
is gauged by cone biopsy for diagnosis and
therapy.
Methods. A prospective trial study on diagnosis
with random sampling was perfomed using
two different techniques and blind histological
reading by two pathologists. Twenty (20) cervical
cone biopsy specimens with premalignant or
malignant lesion diagnosis were processed, and
the techniques and observers´ concordance were
evaluated.
Results. Out of the 20 consecutive specimens,
technique 1 could only be applied to one case
since the majority of samples were either fragmented
or already fixed. Concordance between
observers was 0.7.
Conclusions. Cytology exam gold standard
is migrating to cervical cone biopsy. Adequate
handling of these specimens by pathologists is
essential to the proper diagnosis and treatment of
cervical cancer. We discuss two different ways of
processing these specimens
