Degradation of higher education in Kazakhstan as an example of post-transitional crisis

It is shown, that objectives of degradation of Higher Education in most part of post-soviet countries are connected with the specific factors appeared at the economical situation appeared at the end of transitional period (transition from planned economy to market one). Decreasing of quality of higher education in such countries as Kazakhstan may be interpreted in frameworks of Baudrillard’s concept of evolution of connection between "The Sign" and "The Reality"; such interpretation directly shows that overcoming of negative trends in post-soviet countries education cannot be realized by traditional administrative instruments. The problem may be solved by taking into account concepts of institutional economy

Constructing the Image of Feminism in Russian Media: A Corpus Study

As any social movement, feminism finds its reflection in the media. Media are a full-fledged institution capable of shaping public consciousness, targeting particular social groups, setting standards of mass behavior, and determining the main directions of social development. This research featured Russian news about feminism in terms of event structure.  It covered news headlines published in Russian media in 2014-2021 and retrieved via the Smi2.ru media aggregator. Feminism-related headlines were automatically extracted from a dataset of 8,954 headlines. The subcorpus was analyzed in the Semograph Information System, which made it possible to classify texts, obtain frequency data on certain classes, and establish connections between them. The frequency data analysis was represented as a graphical model of the news space in the field of feminism using the SciVi visualizer. The event and thematic analyses revealed a three-level classification. The media usually informed about events where participants belonged to various social groups that protested against something, e.g., people or performances. The news informed about the actions and reactions of media people and about art sphere. The article introduces a graphical model that shows the links between event components in the headlines. It demonstrated three main areas of action in the field of feminism: art, media, and feminist movements. Each of these fields has its own core and structure. The media sphere appeared to be closed on itself; the art-related news agenda focused mostly on social matters; the field of feminist movements was associated with counteracting and involved descriptions of radical actions. When informing about feminism, the media construct an alternative reality that differs from the real issues that feminism aims at resolving

Effectiveness of using booktrailers for the promotion of literary and artistic works

В статье оценивается эффективность использования издательскими домами буктрейлеров в целях продвижения книжных новинок. Рассматриваются положительные и отрицательные аспекты применения промороликов для коммерческих компаний. Выявлены основные различия в использовании буктрейлеров российскими и зарубежными издательскими домами. Выделяются основные ошибки в применении промо-роликов российскими издательствами. Приводится характеристика роликов. Представлено состояние развития отечественных промо-роликов и их влияния на сбыт новых литературных произведений.The effectiveness of the use booktrailers by publishing houses in order to promote book novelties is estimated. Positive and negative aspects of the use of promo-commercials for commercial companies are considered. The main differences in the use of booktrailers by Russian and foreign publishing houses are revealed. As a result, the main mistakes in the use of promo-clips by Russian organizations are highlighted. Based on the analysis of campaigns on the promotion of books and comparison with the sales ranking places, conclusions are drawn about the state of development of domestic promotional videos and their impact on the marketing of new literary works

Автоматический метод анализа мультиспектральных кольпоскопических изображений для телевизионной системы диагностики рака шейки матки

Automated method of fluorescence images analysis obtained by excitation radiation with a wavelength of 360 and 390 nm is proposed. The method allows to detect the status of tissues of cervix: normal, chronic nonspecific inflammation (CNI) and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), and build differential map pathology. For the border CIN/CNI achieved a sensitivity of 87 % and specificity 71 %. The method includes a specific preprocessing of the original images: combining images taken in different lighting conditions and highlight the area of interest. Features of the method are the use of a combination of features calculated for images of different types, and decision rule for classification based data mining techniques.Предложен автоматический метод анализа флуоресцентных изображений, полученных при возбуждающих излучениях с длиной волны 360 и 390 нм. Метод позволяет выявить состояния тканей шейки матки: норму, воспалительный процесс (chronic nonspecific inflammation - CNI), и онкологические изменения (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia - CIN), и построить дифференциальную карту патологии. Для границы CIN/CNI достигнуты чувствительность 87 % и специфичность 71 %. Метод включает специальную предобработку исходных изображений: совмещение изображений, полученных в разных условиях освещения и выделение области интереса. Особенностями метода являются использование совокупности признаков, рассчитанных по изображениям разного типа, и решающее правило при классификации на основе методов интеллектуального анализа данных

Цифровая обработка изображений в экспертно-консультирующей системе для дифференциальной диагностики состояний шейки матки

The proposed method of colposcopic images processing allows to synthesize a special image that simulates the application to visualize vessels and to provide better analysis of vascular structures by the physician.Рассмотрены новые методы обработки и анализа изображений для экспертно-консультирующей системы дифференциальной диагностики состояний тканей шейки матки. Предложенный метод обработки кольпоскопических изображений позволяет синтезировать специальное изображение, имитирующее применение зеленого оптического фильтра для визуализации сосудов и обеспечивающее более эффективный анализ сосудистых структур врачом. Отличительной особенностью разработанного метода анализа изображений с целью дифференциальной диагностики является использование совокупности признаков, рассчитанных по изображениям разных типов, и формирование решающих правил, основанных на технологиях "data mining". Многопризнаковый анализ обеспечивает для границы дифференциальной диагностики CIN/CNI чувствительность 87 % и специфичность 75 %. Важной составляющей многопризнакового анализа является анализ изображений, полученных в белом свете. В статье подробно рассмотрены алгоритмы классификации изображений, полученных в белом свете на основе цветовых, яркостных и текстурных признаков

Image Processing Algorithm for Virtual Chromoendoscopy (Tone Enhancement) in Clinical Decision Support System

Virtual chromoendoscopy is one of the demanded modern direction for increasing the diagnostic value of medical images. The most famous technics are I-SCAN and FICE, and image-processing algorithms that can leverage the unique characteristics of different spectral response in the endoscopic image are actual and relevant, such as TRI-SCAN. The new method of virtual chromoendoscopy based on digital processing of images obtained in the white light was proposed. The main feature of method is local nonlinear processing each color plane. Proposed method was tested on open database of endoscopic images KVASIR. Experiment shows that method can effectively improve color contrast. Proposed method realizes visual effect corresponding visual effect of images obtaining with modern technologies of virtual chromoendoscopy (I-SCAN and FICE) and give possibility to get visual effect superior than modern method of tone enhancement TRI-SCAN
