Клинико-психологические особенности больных с отравлением гипотензивными и антиаритмическими препаратами в результате суицидальных действий

The effective care for patients with self-poisoning with antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic drugs is associated with taking into account both clinical and adverse social, psychological and environmental stress factors. To identify their specifics, a retrospective analysis of 120 medical records and a clinical and psychological examination of 20 patients with antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic drugs self-poisoning and a comparison group of 34 patients with selfpoisoning with psychotropic drugs were carried out. It has been shown that the risk group for re-suicide in self-poisoning with antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic drugs is about 30% of patients. Risk factors are depressive symptoms that persist before discharge from the hospital, as well as dysfunctional personality traits (perfectionism in the form of increased preoccupation with the assessments of other people and frequent unfavorable comparisons with them, experiencing loneliness and isolation, increased impulsivity and a feeling of hostility from others) and unproductive ways of coping with stress (ruminative thinking or repetitive unpleasant and unproductive thoughts about anergy, lack of strength and loneliness). The results of the study and the developed psychodiagnostic complex can be used to identify targets for urgent psychological assistance and screening for the risk of re-suicide.Эффективная помощь пациентам с самоотравлениями гипотензивными и антиаритмическими препаратами (ГиАП) связана с учетом как клинических, так и неблагоприятных социальных, психологических и средовых стрессовых факторов. Для выявления их специфики были проведены ретроспективный анализ 120 медицинских карт и клинико-психологическое обследование 20 пациентов с самоотравлениями ГиАП и группы сравнения — 34 пациентов с самоотравлениями психотропными препаратами. Показано, что группа риска повторного суицида при самоотравлениях ГиАП составляет около 30% пациентов. Факторами риска выступают сохраняющаяся перед выпиской из стационара депрессивная симптоматика, а также дисфункциональные личностные черты (перфекционизм в форме повышенной озабоченности оценками других людей и частыми невыгодными сравнениями себя с ними, переживание одиночества и изоляции, повышенная импульсивность и ощущение враждебности окружающих) и непродуктивные способы совладания со стрессом (руминативное мышление или повторяющиеся неприятные и непродуктивные размышления на тему анергии, отсутствия сил и одиночества). Результаты исследования и разработанный психодиагностический комплекс могут быть использованы для выявления мишеней срочной психологической помощи и скрининга риска повторного суицида

Flow cytometry sorting of cells infected with African swine fever virus

The African swine fever panzootic  is continuing  to spread,  and the number  of affected countries and material losses are increasing. In particular, India, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Greece and Bhutan joined the list of ASF infected countries in 2020–2021. The disease control is hindered  by the lack of commercially available and effective vaccines, which, in its turn, is attributable  to the insufficient knowledge of ASF pathogenesis  and immune defense against the disease. The use of attenuated virus variants enables a thorough  investigation of the factors influencing the virulence of African swine fever virus and the immune  response  to it. This involves the use of naturally attenuated virus variants, as well as of the variants attenuated by a long-term passaging of the virus in cell cultures. However, virulence heterogeneity characteristic of the ASF virus population, necessitates  the additional selection of infected cells for the virus cloning. Conventional culture-based techniques for virus particle cloning are rather time- and labour-consuming;  it is therefore appropriate  to use flow cytometry cell sorting for the selection and cloning of virus infected cells with a view of selecting  homologous  virus lineages.  The paper  presents  the results of sorting  of African green  monkey kidney cells (CV-1) and porcine bone marrow cells infected with African swine fever virus; the cells were sorted into the 96-well culture plates using a MoFlo  Astrios   EQ cell sorter in order to isolate a population of the virus originating from one infected cell. After the single cell sorting of the infected cell cultures into the 96-well plates, ASF positive cell detection  rates in the plate wells were 30% for porcine bone marrow cells and 20% for CV-1

Nitrogen Fixation Activity and Genome Analysis of a Moderately Haloalkaliphilic Anoxygenic Phototrophic Bacterium Rhodovulum tesquicola

The genome of the moderately haloalkaliphilic diazotrophic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium Rhodovulum tesquicola A-36sT isolated from an alkaline lake was analyzed and compared to the genomes of the closest species Rhodovulum steppense A-20sT and Rhodovulum strictum DSM 11289T. The genomic features of three organisms are quite similar, reflecting their ecological and physiological role of facultative photoheterotrophs. Nevertheless, the nitrogenase activity of the pure cultures of the studied bacteria differed significantly: the highest rate (4066 nmoles C2H2/mg of dry weight per hour) was demonstrated by Rhodovulum strictum while the rates in Rhodovulum tesquicola and Rhodovulum steppense were an order of magnitude lower (278 and 523 nmoles C2H2/mg of dry weight per hour, respectively). This difference can be attributed to the presence of an additional nitrogenase operon found exclusively in R. strictum and to the structural variation in nitrogenase operon in R. tesquicola
