    The efficiency of corrective therapy among patients with mediobasal and lateral temporal epilepsy in interictal period

    The research of neurological electroencephalographic (EEG) and Doppler with application of functional tests in 78 patients mediobasal (MTE) and 42 lateral (LTE) temporal lobe epilepsy through 1,3,6 months after corrective therapy using cavinton and mexidol was carried out. It was found a decrease in seizure frequency by 50% and more in 92,5% of patients Π’Π•, including full control seizures - 23,1% of patients MTE and 57,1% - LTE. A decreasing of index of paroxysmal activity in the EEG recordings and positive dynamics of cerebrovascular reserve was noticed.     The dynamics of clinical electroencephalographic (EEG) and hemodynamic in-dexes according to the data of transcranial doppleography (TCD) after the treatment in a month with including of cavinton and mexidol among 66 patients with temporal epilepsy (Π’Π•) with rare (I) and frequent (II) attacks at the age of 30,5+9,3 years was studied. The raise of the aspmetry coefficient of blood circulation middle velocity in middle (MBA),front (FBA) and backbone (BA) brain arteries with prevalence among the patients of the second group-on BA and BBA (p<0,05) among patients with temple epilepsy was established. After the combined therapy the complete control over the attacks was achieved among 58,8% and 31,3% patients, the reduction of the attack number more than 75% is observed among 35,2% and 46,9% patients with temple epilepsy of the first and the second group on BBA and BA (p<0,05). According to the data EEG the raise of alpha-activity and the reduction of paroxysmal activity (p<0,05) is recorded, however the index of paroxysmal activity among the patients in the second group remained increased (p<0,05).The normalization of brain circulation aspm etry index among the patients of the first group is revealed; the aspmetry index on BBA and BA (p<0,05) among patients of the second group was being kept. It is spent electroencephalographic (EEG) research, the computer analysis with definition of indexes of the basic rhythms, the vegetative status under the program of variability of a rhythm of heart is studied, functional classes (FC) on D.I. Zhemajtite are defined. At all patients changed types EEG prevailed. It is noted low FC at patients with I, II, V types Π­Π­Π“. Correlation of type EEG with level FC is revealed: at patients with V type EEG prevailed IV and V, with I and II types EEG β€” higher (II, III) FC. The high index of an alpha rhythm correlates with high II FC, and a beta rhythm with III FC.     56 patients with temporal epilepsy (TE) at the age of (30.5 Β± 10.0) years under the duration of the disease β€” (17.5 Β± 10.7) years are examined. The examination included the anamnesis, somatic and neurological statuses, ultrasonic medical examination of brain vessels, the magneto-resonance tomography (MRI) of brain. Headaches (HA) among 80.4% patients with TE is revealed and its dependence from different factors is studied. The absence of gender differences, the dependence from the type TE, frequency of attacks and the duration of the disease among patients TE with HA are noticed, however the burdened neurological and obstetrical anamnesis, the presence HA among relatives, changes on data MRI of the brain, pathology of vertebral-basilar basin, the reduction and asymmetry of the index of the vessel resistance are observed. This amends the algorithm of the examination and treatment of patients with temporal epilepsy
