    Dielectric response function PdHx system

    Get PDF
The calculations of electron structure of pure Pd and PdHx (x=1,2,3) system have been made ab initio in the range of local density approximation. Total energy of PdHx system has been calculated for the cases of different coordination of hydrogen atom (oct-and tetrahedral), the conclusion on their most probable location in metal lattice has been made. In the approximation of constant matrix element the imaginary part of permittivity constant function ?2(?) has been calculated. It was stated that dissolution of hydrogen in palladium increases values of the function ?2(?) in the investigated range of energies from 2 to 24 eV. Therefore in the case of radiation impact on PdHx system one can expect intensive excitement of the crystal electron subsystem, and, hence, decrease of potential barriers for hydrogen atom movement

The article is devoted to the monitoring competitors in marketing It is a topical issue of modern Belarusian companies. Monitoring competitors results are used for development of marketing plan, formulation of marketing strategy, management decisions in the company marketing. The author notes the necessity of monitoring competitors and gives the analysis of literature devoted to this subject. The article represents the approaches to the definition of the competitive analysis and the essence of the concept of monitoring the competition. In this research the algorithm for the monitoring and evaluation of competitors are proposed, the types of competitors according to the elements of the marketing competition are defined. Marketing scenarios of counter rivals according to the type of competitor are also proposed

This paper presents results of testing models for the radioactive contamination of river water and bottom sediments by 137Cs. The scenario for the model testing is based on data from the Romashka River, which was contaminated as a result of accidents at the Siberian Chemical Combine (Russia, Region of Tomsk). The input data include the following: estimates of inventories of 137Cs in the floodplain of the downstream part of Romashka River; the estimated annual runoff of 137Cs from the downstream part of Romachka River; data on the precipitation, hydrological and hydrochemical characteristics of the river. The endpoints of the scenario are model predictions of the activity concentrations of 137Cs in water and bottom sediments along the Romachka River in 2012-2013. Calculations for the Romashka scenario were performed by the Institute of radioprotection and nuclear safety (model CASTEAUR and HAMSTER. As a whole, the radionuclide predictions for137Cs for all considered models. At the same time the CASTEAUR model estimate the activity concentrations of 137Cs and in water more precisely than in bottom sediments

Augmented reality have undergone considerable improvement in the past years. In spite of the numerous techniques and hardware devices, the crucial breakthrough have come with the spread of intelligent mobile phones. Mobile devices have limited hardware capabilities, which narrows down the scene analysis methods. An augmented reality application to create stickers for social media is considered in the paper

Influence of ion-beam treatment on structure and defor-mation resistance of 12Cr1MoV steel under static, cyclic and dynamic loading

    Get PDF
Features of modification of structure and properties of 12Cr1MoV steel subjected to ion-beam irradiation by zirconium ion beam have been investigated with the use of optical and electron microscopy, and microhardness measurement. It was shown that after the treat-ment the modification occurs across the entire cross-section of specimens with the thickness of 1 mm. Changes in mechanical properties of these specimens under static, cyclic and impact loading were interpreted in terms of identified structure modifications

Destruction of molecular compounds in gaseous and liquid medium in microwave discharge plasma

    Get PDF
The paper presents the results of experimental studies of molecular destruction in gaseous and liquid medium using microwave discharge plasma at atmospheric pressure. As the gas medium hydrocarbon gas is used, the liquid medium were aqueous solutions of methylene blue and more complex organic compound in the form of humic substances. As a result of the destruction of hydrocarbon gas molecules in microwave discharge plasma new products such as hydrogen, ethylene, acetylene and carbon nanostructured material have been formed. In experiments on destruction of molecular compounds in aqueous organic solutions we used air, nitrogen and argon for plasma gases. It is shown that the process of molecular destruction in aqueous organic solutions in the microwave discharge plasma is based on oxidation-reduction reactions. It is found that the maximum efficiency of removal of organic compounds from the solution occurs when using air as the plasma gas
