Testing CP and Time Reversal Symmetries with ΛbΛV(1)\Lambda_b \to \Lambda V(1-) Decays

In this letter, an overview is given for interesting tests of both CP and Time Reversal symmetries with the beauty baryon Λb\Lambda_b . Extensive use of the helicity formalism and HQET is done for all calculations. Then, emphasis is put on sophisticated methods like analysis of resonance polarizations and particular angle distributions which can exhibit a clear signal of TR violation.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figure, 3 tables. Λb\Lambda_b Decays into Λ\Lambda-Vector

    Get PDF
A complete study of the angular distributions of the processes, ΛbΛV(1)\Lambda_b \to {\Lambda} V(1^-), with Λpπ\Lambda \to p {\pi}^- and V(J/Ψ)+V (J/{\Psi}) \to {\ell}^+ {\ell}^- or V(ρ0,ω)π+π,V ({\rho}^0,\omega) \to {\pi}^+ {\pi}^-, is performed. Emphasis is put on the initial Λb\Lambda_b polarization produced in the proton-proton collisions. The polarization density-matrices as well as angular distributions are derived and help to construct T-odd observables which allow us to perform tests of both Time-Reversal and CP violation.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figure

A Global Treatment Of VMD Physics Up To The ϕ\phi: I. e+ee^+e^- Annihilations, Anomalies And Vector Meson Partial Widths

The HLS Model, equipped with a mechanism providing the breaking of U(3)/SU(3) symmetry and an isospin symmetry breaking leading naturally to vector meson mixing, has been recently shown to successfully account for e^+ e^- \ra \pi^+\pi^- cross section and for the dipion spectrum in τ\tau decay. The present study shows that the full anomalous sector of the HLS model can be considered and is validated by the experimental data. Indeed, this extended model provides a successful simultaneous fit to the e^+ e^- \ra \pi^+\pi^- data together with the available data on e^+ e^- \ra \pi^0\gamma, e^+ e^- \ra \eta\gamma and e^+ e^- \ra \pi^0 \pi^+\pi^- cross sections. It is shown that the fit of these data sets also predicts an accurate description of the \eta/\eta^\prime \ra \pi^+ \pi^- \gamma decays fully consistent with the reported information on their branching fractions and spectra. Finally, one also derives from our global fits products of widths of the form \Gamma (V \ra f_1)\Gamma(V \ra e^+ e^-) and ratios of the form \Gamma (V \ra f_1)/\Gamma (V \ra f_2) describing decays of vector mesons to several non--leptonic final states.Comment: 58 pages, 10 figures Corrected a few misprints. Pion production in the MiniBooNE

We investigate one pion production processes within the Giessen Boltzmann--Uehling--Uhlenbeck (GiBUU) coupled channel transport model. Our calculations for integrated and differential cross sections for realistic experimental neutrino fluxes are compared to the data recently provided by the MiniBooNE collaboration.Comment: Talk at NuInt11, Dehradun, India, March 201

The pion wave function in covariant light-front dynamics

    Get PDF
The structure of the pion wave function in the relativistic constituent quark model is investigated in the explicitly covariant formulation of light-front dynamics. We calculate the two relativistic components of the pion wave function in a simple one-gluon exchange model and investigate various physical observables: decay constant, charge radius, electromagnetic and transition form factors. We discuss the influence of the full relativistic structure of the pion wave function for an overall good description of all these observables, including both low and high momentum scales.Comment: 12 pages, 10 figure

QCD Factorization in BB Decays into ρπ\rho \pi

Based on the QCD factorization approach we analyse the branching ratios for the channel BρπB \to \rho \pi. From the comparisons with experimental data provided by CLEO, BELLE and BABAR we constrain the form factor FBπ(mρ2)F^{B \to \pi}(m_{\rho}^{2}) and propose boundaries for this form factor depending on the CKM matrix element parameters ρ\rho and η\eta.Comment: 11 pages, 9 figures.
