Strategi Pemberdayaan Kegiatan Pariwisata Berbasis Komunitas

The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy for empowering community-based tourism activities in the Wasur Tourism Area, Merauke Regency. The grand theory used as an analytical tool in this study is strategic management theory combined with community-based tourism theory. This research was compiled through the use of qualitative analysis which was described through descriptive writing methods. This research was conducted in the Wasur Tourism Area, Merauke Regency. Determination of research informants uses criteria that are relevant to the study to be discussed (purposive). The results of the research that has been carried out show that the use of resources in the aspect of community based tourism in the Wasur Tourism Area, Merauke Regency has not been utilized properly by the parties involved in tourism activities in the region. Regulations that specifically regulate tourism activities in the Merauke Regency area have not yet been issued to regulate all aspects related to tourism activities. Thus, tourism activities in locations with great potential such as the Wasur Tourism Area, Merauke Regency are not optimally and significantly exposed. The recommendations that can be given by researchers based on research results are that the Merauke Regency Government should start drafting regulations that can specifically regulate tourism activities in their area and invite local communities to participate in promoting tourism activities in the Wasur Tourism Area.Abstrak Riset ini disusun dalam rangka untuk mengkaji tentang strategi pemberdayaan kegiatan pariwisata berbasis komunitas di Kawasan Wisata Wasur, Kabupaten Merauke. Problematika yang timbul dalam kegiatan pariwisata di Kawasan Wisata Wasur adalah lesunya geliat pariwisata di lokasi tersebut. Grand theory yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah manajemen strategi Fred Richard David. Riset ini disusun melalui penggunaan analisis kualitatif yang diuraikan melalui metode penulisan deskriptif. Penetuan informan penelitian ini menggunakan kriteria-kriteria yang relevan dengan kajian yang hendak dibahas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa community based tourism di Kawasan Wisata Wasur masih belum dimanfaatkan oleh para pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pariwisata di wilayah tersebut. Regulasi yang mengatur secara spesifik tentang pariwisata di Kabupaten Merauke juga belum diterbitkan. Sehingga, kegiatan pariwisata di lokasi dengan potensi besar seperti Kawasan Wisata Wasur, Kabupaten Merauke menjadi tidak terekspos secara optimal. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan peneliti berdasarkan hasil riset adalah, hendaknya Pemerintah Kabupaten Merauke mulai menggodok regulasi yang dapat mengatur secara spesifik tentang kegiatan pariwisata di wilayahnya dan mengajak serta komunitas-komunitas lokal untuk berpartisipasi dalam memajukan kegiatan pariwisata di Kawasan Wisata Wasur.   Kata Kunci : Strategi, Pemberdayaan, Pariwisata, Komunitas Sosial

Kualitas Pelayanan Akademik Terhadap Kepuasan Mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara

This study aims to find out about the influence of academic service quality on student satisfaction in the State Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Musamus University. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The results of this study indicate that quality service from educational staff is able to have a significant influence on student satisfaction in the State Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Musamus University. The results of this research prove that quality service will have a positive impact on student satisfaction. This, if a tertiary institution wishes to provide satisfaction to the recipients of its academic services, the services provided must be of good quality.   Keywords : Service Quality; SatisfactionPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pengaruh kualitas pelayanan akademik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Musamus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan yang berkualitas dari tenaga kependidikan mampu memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Musamus. Hasil riset ini membuktikan bahwa pelayanan yang berkualitas akan memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Sehingga, apabila perguruan tinggi hendak memberikan kepuasan kepada penerima layanan akademiknya, maka pelayanan yang diberikan harus berkualitas baik.   Kata Kunci : Kualitas Pelayanan; Kepuasa

Empowering of Small Businesses in Community Development in Merauke, South Papua Crocodile’s Leather Craftsman

This study discusses the empowerment of crocodile skin handicrafts by the Department of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade of Merauke Regency. This study aims to determine the efforts to empower the Merauke Regency Industry and Trade Cooperatives Service towards crocodile skin craft business in Merauke Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation, direct interviews and documentation. The results showed that the efforts to empower the crocodile skin craft business by the Department of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade of Merauke Regency were not optimal. This refers to the empowerment that has been carried out by the Department of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade of Merauke Regency which is generally still oriented to the routine work of the government. Such conditions ultimately hampered the process of empowering crocodile skin crafts on Bumi animha Merauke. The researcher recommends the Department of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade of Merauke Regency to carry out intensive socialization of the use of galze and coloring techniques as well as the use of information, communication and technology to distribute crocodile skins, synergize with craftsmen to strengthen business independence and for crocodile skin crafts it is better to start actualizing themselves in improve the ability to find and take advantage of opportunities so that the sale of crocodile skin products is more easily accessible to the market
