    Crisis and Leadership Style Relationship in Entrepreneurs

    Crises are inevitable features of today‟s businesses. As a result of pressures from the economic technological and social cultural environment brought by rapid change and the ongoing intense competition, it is not possible to think of a firm that is exempt from crisis. The instability in the economy and turbulent environments force the firms to seek more effective management styles. Hence, the crisis management becomes important. Historically the traits that a leader should have a for a better management of crisis were investigated and theories were set forth thereupon. One of the theories related to the topic is thesituational leadership theory which was built by Fiedler in 1970. Fiedler found that the task oriented leaders were more successful under unfavorable conditions. In this study which is carried out to see whether there is a difference between task-oriented and relationship oriented leaders in terms of their perceptions regarding the crisis, it was found that the task-oriented leaders have a more positive perception of crisis. No significant difference between taskorientated and relationship orientated managers was found regarding the interaction of the firm with its environment and attitudes and behaviors of top management.     A Research On Perceptions About Management Problems of Professional Accountants

    The aim of this study is to investigate the perception of administrative problems of professional accountants and to bring some solutions to their problems. The study was attended by 304 members of the accounting profession (N=304). The sample of this study was generated from the professional accountants registered to the Chamber of Gaziantep Public Accountants and Financial Advisers in Gaziantep region. Literature sources related to this problem was overviewed and some broad information about the sample and study was presented. We employed factor analysis to analyze the data. The perception of administrative problems of the accounting professionals are discussed by three factors which can be classified as follow; occupational problems, health problems, and training – communication problems. The hypotheses of this study was divided to groups and was tested by Mann - Whitney U test which is a non-parametric method alternative to t-test. According to findings of this study the most important problems of the professional accountants is classified as follow; the costumer, customer (taxpayers) relationship problems, unethical request of the customers, stressful working conditions and it also found that the professional accountants with in this sample does not meet all demands of the customer

    Bu araştırma mentorlük faaliyetlerinin örgütsel güven algısı üzerindeki etkisini ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda Gaziantep ilinde faaliyette bulunan bir kamu bankasının çalışanlarının tamamıyla (N110) anket yapılmıştır. Elde edilen istatistiksel bulgulara göre mentorlük faaliyetlerinin alt boyutları (kariyer, psiko-sosyal) ile örgütsel güvenin alt boyutları (bağlılık dürüstlük ve güvenilirlik) arasında anlamlı ve pozitif ilişkiler bulunmuştur.Aim of this study is to measure of mentoring activities impact on the perception of organizational trust. For this purpose, survey conducted on 110 workers in a public bank operating in the province of Gaziantep. According to data obtained from statistical findings, significant and positive relationships were found between sub-dimensions of mentoring activities (career and psycho-social) and sub-dimensions of organizational trust (commitment, integrity, reliability)
