    Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is vegetable crop that consumed part of the leaf and harvested at a phase of vegetative. Nitrogen play important role in growth at phase of vegetative. Nitrogen in spacious have the character of easy to lose because of leaching. Increasing yield of lettuce can be done byimproving Nitrogen synchronization, that is precisely USAge moment with ready moment of N during and amount of its. The research was aimed to study of the pattern nitrogen requirement for lettuce crop, ready pattern of nitrogen by Tithonia diversifolia and design nitrogen synchronization model between lettuce crop with green manure of T. diversifolia. The research were divided in two phases that are phase research 1: Dynamic modeling for nitrogen synchronization on lettuce cultivation by green manure of T. diversifolia, and phase research 2: Fertilizer technology of high nitrogen synchronization on lettuce cultivation by green manure of T. diversifolia. The result of phase research 1 (first year research) shows that dynamic model of N requirement by lettuce crop, release and availability model of N by T. diversifolia and synchronization model of N between requirement of N lettuce with release and availability of N by T. diversifolia. The dynamic model indicate that giving 10 t ha-1 of T. diversifolia which given 2 weeks before transplanting at lettuce crop can support high result and growth because happened good synchronization of N

    Community Development Activities (IbM) is designed to address the problems faced by partner companies. The implementation of IbM will be carried out by the following methods: a) Transfer of Application of Sanitation and Hygiene Standard to Pempek Production, c) Management training, financial management of production and marketing management, d) Monitoring and Evaluation.  The results of IbM activities that have been done is the aid of mixing machine pempek dough dedicated to Partners 2, while for Part 1 in the form of fretrer polytron and vacum sealer. However, the pempping stirrer can be used, after the electric power of partner 2 plus the power to 1300 watts. Mitra 1 (Pempek Maliana) is more open and creative in developing pempek products, while partner 2 (Pempek Sulfat 28) still adheres to pempek that already exist in Malang with the same appearance and hard. Assistance and counseling to open insight and add skills have been done but at Partner 2 is still not able to adopt it.     Study on Synthesis of Solid Acid Catalyst From Borassus Flabellifer L. Waste with Sulfonation Method: Kajian Sintesis Katalis Asam Padat Dari Limbah Sabut Siwalan (Borassus Flabellifer L.) Dengan Metode Sulfonasi

    Fiber of Borassus flabellifer L. includes agricultural wastes which containing lignocellulose components (hemicellulose and lignin) and high carbohydrate content. Siwalan coir fiber is quite potential to be used as a substrate in producing catalysts. Acid catalyst is one type of catalyst that as an important role in chemical process. This study aims to study the effect of the optimum mass ratio of carbon-KOH in the process of graphite synthesis based on siwalan charcoal so as to produce graphite with the most optimal characteristics, and optimum calcination temperature as a physical activation process in the synthesis of graphite based on siwalan coir fiber charcoal, and determine the time sulfonation which is optimum in producing acid catalysts There are 2 variables used in this study, temperature and sulfonation time. The method of making carbon is done by calcining to decompose the carbon source so that the composition is made according to what has been varied. After forming carbon-KOH composite, then sulfonation is carried out using sulfuric acid.
