    The implementation of Information and Communication Technology in learning processhas been consciously or unconsciously insperabale to the learning process in classroom. Thepositive impacts it brings has been tremendous including creating opportunities flexibilyaccessed by students anywhere and anytime, enriching learning materials, enlivening learningprocess, making learning process more open, improving the effectiveness of teaching andlearning process and promoting student\u27s autonomy. To benefit from it, educational institutioneither schools or universities should have been implementing it in varied ways, eithercomplementary or substitutive.Yet, it takes a lot of energy, cost, teacher\u27s computer skill etc to directly employ ICT inschools and universities. Applying ICT in leveled stages according to categorization defined byTella is therefore preferable seeing the present condition generally occurs in Indonesian schoolsand universities. By stepping from the first, the third, the second and the forth category, schoolswill be more well prepared and ready to eventually implement ICT, particularly e-learning in itsmost advanced practice as multimedia and internet-based learning environment, which ensuresthe flexibility and the distributedness of the learning process among students in larger scopes.     Optimalisasi Peran Teknologi Informasi (Internet) dalam Meningkatkan Efektifitas dan Kualitas Proses Pembelajaran Pjj S1 Pgsd

    Government's program to improve elementary school or MI teachers' qualification has been highly well responded by society. The teachers whose qualification is not yet equal to S1 degree are enthusiastically attending program of distance learning S1 PGSD held by 10 universities or Teacher Education Institutes (LPTK). Educational Science Faculty (FIP), Yogyakarta State University (UNY) is one of the LPTKs entrusted to conduct the program. In so doing, FIP has been implementing a distance learning system named Flexible Learning Model which requires web or internet support in carrying out the learning process.Yet, deemed as having web-based and blended learning system and model, the conduct of distance learning held by FIP is not as expected. The use of web is limited to e-mail leaving the other internet or web facilities. Moreover, FIP's distance learning does not embrace interaction using online discussion forum which enables teachers and student to directly communicate at the same time (synchronous). This might lead to ineffective and less quality distance learning practice which in the end might bring about a less qualified graduate (read: teacher) since internet has been the most prominent support in determining the quality of interaction and learning process between teacher and student in distance learning program. Without optimal and effective use of internet, student and teacher cannot interact well and effectively.To this point, this paper aims to propose an alternative by designing and creating a particular website serving as the supporting software or Learning Management System media, providing a learning activity center, synchronous and asynchronous mode of student – teacher and student – student interaction, academic and administration information center, reviewing and testing media, digital library and e-material enabling student and teacher to independently learn. In addition, a website particularly designed in such a way to address needs and the characteristics of the Faculty's distance learning program will certainly benefit the teacher in that it provides a record of all teaching and learning activitues conducted through web, which functions as a portofolio.Government's program to improve elementary school or MI teachers' qualification has been highly well responded by society.     Pengembangan Model Belajar Untuk Meningkatkan Etos Belajar Siswa Sekolah Menengah Di Daerah Pinggiran Provinsi DIY

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model belajar untuk meningkatkan etosbelajar siswa sekolah menengah di daerah pinggiran provinsi DIY. Penelitian ini merupakankelanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya tentang etos belajar siswa sekolah menengah di daerahpinggiran provinsi DIY. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitianpengembangan, dengan langkah penelitian difokuskan pada dua tahap yaitu tahapprelimenary dan tahap formative evaluation. Pada tahap prelimenary akan dilakukanpersiapan dan prosedur kerja penelitian, sedangkan tahap formative evaluation dilakukanprototyping (penyusunan model belajar) yang di expert reviews,one-to-one dan small group,serta field test. Uji coba model belajar dalam penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SD diKabupaten Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa model pembelajaran centering themargine memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan etos belajar siswa di daerahpinggiran

    Teachers' Difficulties in Developing Learning Resources

    This study aimed to identify the main problems faced by teachers in developing learning resources, and to provide recommendations for these problems. A qualitative descriptive approach was used. This study's paticipants were recruited randomly, and included 55 teachers of SMP, SMA, and SLB. Data were collected through an online survey with a digital questionnaire instrument. Data analysis was carried out through three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that there are three main problems that teachers face in developing learning resources: 1) the technical ability to use tools and devices to create digital learning resources; 2) the strategy of organizing learning materials to be applied to learning resources; and 3) the lack of skills in managing learning materials to be applied to digital learning resources. Based on these findings, it is recommended that teachers collaborate with educational technologists who are masters of learning resource development.
