    Optimization problem is the demanding problem for optimum solutions. The optimum (best) solution is asolution with minimum values, or maximum among a set of possible alternative solutions. In electricaldistribution network, problem of demanding achievement of optimum condition of system operationalperformance is essential. One of the factors necessary to consider in the designing of the primary electricaldistribution network is cost. Cost is closely related to length of cable used. It highlights the importance ofcalculating the minimum length of cable required in a network. The cable should be not only with as minimalas possible in length, but also regulated for better arrangement.Actually, in regulating the cable installation, longer path is more frequently selected. One of the ways ofachieving optimization condition is to use algorithm to determine a minimum spanning tree of the primaryelectrical distribution network system. In this study, the algorithm used is Prim's algorithm.The research was conducted by designing a graph model of primary electrical distribution network inappropriate with the data obtained. Based on the graph, each was weighted for distance or length of networkcable by using the ArcView GIS 3.3.     This study aims to design and build an expert system that can diagnose damage to the television set based on the type and characteristics of the damage by using backward chaining method. The expert system in this study has been designed and built using the backward chaining method. It starts by proving the preliminary conclusions based on direct observations of users of the damage type to the television set that will be repaired, and the results show the facts and the rules appropriate to the type and characteristics of the damage to the television set. The expert system was proved capable of receiving, storing, and transferring knowledge from experts or repair technicians of the damage to the television set according to the type and characteristics of the actual damage to the television set. This expert system also proved to be able to function properly to diagnose problem of the television set based on the type and characteristics of the damage

    AC Induction motors are sized for maximum load and are operated at a constant full speed, because they are supplied with power from AC lined at a fixed-sinusoidal voltage and fixed frequency. However, load of motor does not always same at many conditions but the input voltage and power of motor is fixed. Of course, it will influence the efficiency of the motor. One method to improve efficiency of the motor is varying the voltage as loaded its and called Motor Controlled. Motor Controlled is AC Drive that using SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) as the output voltage controller by controlling the firing angle. By employing SCR Motor Controller that adjust the voltage of the motor offers advantageous to improve efficiency of motor and potential for significant energy savings

    In this study, the algorithm used is Prim's algorithm—an algorithm in graph theory to seek a minimum spanning tree for a weighted connected graph. The program used is a program created with Delphi 7 programming language used for searching the minimum spanning tree of a graph model with the weight of each form of distance/length connecting the points/vertices. Then display the information search process sequence of minimum spanning tree, the total number of minimum length and the resulting computing time to determine the efficiency of Prim's algorithm. Based on the results of research, Prim's algorithm computation time in finding the minimum spanning tree of a weighted graph will grow up along with increasing thenumber of points/vertices and the number of sides of the weighted graph

    This study design controls a robotic arm is a robotic transfer of goods which have five degrees of freedom by using a system of point-topoint programming, the robot is quite necessary in the industrial world today, because it can be programmed back so that makes the robot to be flexible in working out various things. The design of this arm robot control system using the computer as a data processor with PPI-8255 interface and parallel port (LPT1). Robot software system designed to control the robot to do a certain task is instructed via keybord. Control of motor rotation in the robot is done through software on personal computers and the robot is designed to be controlled manually or automatically using the program Delphi 7.0
