Some results on thermal stress of layered plates and shells by using Unified Formulation
This work presents some results on two-dimensional modelling of thermal stress problems in multilayered structures. The governing equations are written by referring to the Unified Formulation (UF) introduced by the first author. These equations are obtained in a compact form, that doesn't depend on the order of expansion of variables in the thickness direction or the variable description (layer-wise models and equivalent single layers models). Classical and refined theories based on the Principle of Virtual Displacements (PVD) and advanced mixed theories based on the Reissner Mixed Variational Theorem (RMVT) are both considered. As a result, a large variety of theories are derived and compared. The temperature profile along the thickness of the plate/shell is calculated by solving the Fourier's heat conduction equation. Alternatively, thermo-mechanical coupling problems can be considered, in which the thermal variation is influenced by mechanical loading. Exact closed-form solutions are provided for plates and shells, but also the applications of the Ritz method and the Finite Element Method (FEM) are presented
Pengawasan Peredaran Produk Pangan (Makanan Kaleng) oleh Balai Besar Pengawas Obatdan Makanan (Bbpom) di Kota Pekanbaru
Circulation of canned food products that are not suitable with the applicable provisions is still a problem for the city of Pekanbaru. This study was conducted to determine Monitoring that do carried out by Balai Besar Pengawas Obat and Makanan on the circulation of canned food products in Pekanbaru. By looking at surveillance BBPOM Pekanbaru to distribution facilities that sell canned food products in Pekanbaru.Research conducted using qualitative method with kind of descriptive research. This study used a control theory Manullang with standard assign, conducting evaluate and conducting corrective action. In this study conducted technique is observation, interviews and documentation by using the technique of analysis. These results indicate that controlling of food products (canned food) by BBPOM in Pekanbaru is still not going well due to the lack of guidance to enterpreneur and public, the legal sanctions are not yet firmly, still inadequate number of employees and number of operational vehicles, as well as the lack of public participation in monitoring the circulation of canned food products in Pekanbaru. Therefore, in order to optimize controlling of food products (canned food) by BBPOM in Pekanbaru is necessary to improve guidance to enterpreneur and public, providing legal sanctions firmly, and increasing the number of employees and operational vehicles BBPOM Pekanbaru. Keywords: Control, Distribution Facilities, BBPO
Causality between Energy Consumption and Economic Growth in Pakistan
The objective of this study is to examine the causality between energy consumption and economic growth in Pakistan over the period of 1991 to 2006. Pakistan has been facing severe energy crises in the current period and the condition is deteriorating day by day. By applying technique of Granger causality and unit root test, the results infer that electric power consumption is granger causing GDP growth. The implications of the study are that energy conservation policy regarding consumption of energy would not lead to any side-effects on economic growth in Pakistan. The country needs a quantum jump in electricity generation in medium-term scenario to revert the possibilities of load shedding in future due to shrinking gap between demand and supply of electricity. Keywords: Granger test, GDP, energy consumption
Strategi Komunikasi Persuasif Human Resources Development dalam Menyelesaikan Konflik Karyawan PT. Dimas Drillindo Cabang Duri Provinsi Riau
Human resources development is a very peculiar position, he did not just pay attention to the environment in his department, but a duty pay attention and nurture all departments within the companys organizational structure. Drillindo Dimas companies especially those in the departments of human resouces development in addition to serving as security is concerned security in the company, which also runs the public relations function resolve employee conflicts. The purpose of the study is to examine the persuasive communication strategy development of human resources in resolving conflicts company employees Dimas Branch Drillindo Duri Riau province, as well as to determine the causes of conflict in the company Dimas Branch Drillindo Duri Riau Province. This research uses descriptive qualitative method is based on primary data source and secondary data and use the data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in the study as many as 7 people were determined by purposive sampling. Analysis using the model of interactive data analysis Miles and Huberman, where the data were obtained and processed to be reduced, so that the resulting presented a general conclusion, and examination techniques participation data using an extension that extends the participation of researchers to know the validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that persuasive communication strategies undertaken by human resources leadership development is very good. It is clear from the persuasive process conducted by the human resources leadership development can affect employees. Factors that are often the cause of conflict between employees is a communication error occurs between employees, lack of facilities owned by the company and other causes. Keywords: persuasive communication, conflicts, Human resources development
