    Agricultural sector is the main water user, so it is important to manage water use toimprove its utilization and efficiency. In utilizing water resources there are a lot ofperceived problems among users of water. Based on many previous studies, some possibleefforts to optimize water utilization are by improving the cropping pattern and cultivationtechniques. Regarding this matter, the first aspect to note is the characteristic of the region.For the agricultural sector, regional characteristics and rainfall pattern are importantreferences to be considered in setting up water management strategy so the use of watereither from rain or irrigation causes no damage to the environment and can provide optimalresults. This strategy can be applied in determining the type of commodity, time of plantingand cropping patterns related to rainfall patterns to avoid harvest failure. Rotation ofcommodities and use of mulch are also some strategies to use water optimally andefficiently. Rotation of commodities is well-developed among farmers.     Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah 1. Meningkatkan produksi kakao melalui transformasi teknologi pemeliharaan kakao diantaranya melalui konservasi lahan dengan penggunaan pupuk organik, pengendalian busuk buah dan penanganan pasca panen dengan fermentasi.  2. Meningkatkan kualitas dan mutu kakao yang memiliki daya saing, dengan menerapkan bahan organik sehingga tidak terdapat residu bahan kimia, agar produk tersebut dapat bersaing dengan kualitas ekspor. 3. Melakukan pembinaan kepada anggota kelompok tani mitra agar dapat meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas pupuk organik padat dengan bahan dasar pemanfaatan kulit buah kakao yang ditambahkan dengan jamur Trichoderma sp dapat mempercepat proses dekomposisi, sehingga dapat  tersedia pada saat yang diharapkan. 4. Meningkatkan kemampuan petani dalam penguasaan asset produksi, modal, dan pasar agar dapat menerapkan paket teknologi inovatif terpadu. 5. Meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat petani agar masyarakat petani lebih sejahtera, serta merubah Mindset petani menjadi manusia yang produktif dan berkarya. Metode yang diterapkan dalam mencapai target dan penyelesaian masalah dari program PKM ini, adalah metode pendidikan masyarakat dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA/RRA). Penerapan metode pelatihan  (training) bertujuan untuk peningkatan kemampuan sumber daya manusia secara individu dan kelompok; Peningkatan kualitas kebun contoh melalui metode sekolah lapang, demonstrasi demplot percobaan dengan menerapkan Teknologi Pengendalian Hama Terpadu, Teknologi Perbanyakan Semut, Teknologi Bioinsektisida Berbahan Aktif  Beauveria bassiana dan Trichoderma sp dan Teknologi pupuk organik.  Hasil yang dicapai berupa 1. Peningkatan pemahaman  kepada kelompok Mitra untuk dapat mengetahui tentang rehabilitasi tanaman kakao, pengendalian OPT yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip PHT, dengan keterampilan yang dimiliki dalam memperbanyak jamur trichoderma sp dan memperbanyak semut hitam di lapangan. 2. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dengan pemanfaatan limbah kakao dengan menambahkan dekomposer jamur trichoderma sp untuk mempercepat proses dekomposisi. 3.Meningkatnya produksi kakao karena adanya penguasaan teknologi pemeliharaan kakao secara terpadu. 4. Peningkatan pemahaman tentang dampak  penggunaan pestisida secara berlebihan, dan adanya solusi alternatif pengendalian OPT yang lebih ramah lingkungan

    This research aims to study and know the factors the production of red onion plant, has been implemented in Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru, Sigi, Central Sulawesi. The results of this research is expected to be an information for the farmer about the factors that affect the production of red onion plant. The research was conducted from June to August 2016 in Bulupountu Jaya , Sigi Biromaru , Sigi , Central Sulawesi. Selection of the location of this research is based on that Bulupountu Jaya Village is the majority of red onion farmer. The method used is quantitative research method by survey and interviews to farmers red onion farming in Bulupountu.Location determination by purposive sampling and respondents by Multistage Random Sampling, through the stages : a.Specify the hamlet representing Bulupountu area, Specify farmer groups in each hamlet, c. Specify five respondents in each farmer groups, so there are 20 respondents. The results of this research indicate that the factors of land area, the amount of fertilizer, the number of seeds, the use of pesticides and pest control affect production in the development of onion farming in Bulupountu Jaya Village, Sigi Biromaru Subdistrict Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi Provinc

    Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi Tanaman Padi Gogo di Kabupaten Morowali

    This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that affect the yield of gogo rice plants in Morowali District, Central Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted in Morowali District, Central Sulawesi Province. The method used in sampling in this study is simple randomly selected. In this simple random technique each member of the population has the same opportunity to become a sample. This study analyzes the function of results using multiple linear regression analysis. Variable identification is done by listing production factors that are thought to have an effect on the process of upland rice yields. On the factors of production the variables that are affected (dependent variable) are results. While the variables that are variable (independent) affect are the area of ​​land, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and labor. The results showed that the factors of production of land area, seeds, labor, fertilizers, and pesticides jointly influence the yield of upland rice. Variable land area partially has a significant effect on upland rice yields, with the highest average yield obtained in land area of ​​≤ 0.50 ha (average 3.76 t / ha). Partial variables of seed, labor, fertilizer, and pesticide did not significantly influence the upland rice yield respectively

    This   research   aims to determine the factors that influence farmers' decisions in using hybrid maize seeds. This research was conducted from July to August 2019 in Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted using a survey method. The determination of the research location was carried out by means of purposive sampling. based on this area the majority of the population is corn farmers. Respondents were determined using the Multistage Random Sampling method, through the following stages, determining the location, determining the farmer groups in each sample village, determining five respondents from each village, in order to obtain a total sample of 20  farmers. The results showed that the factors of age, education, land area, capital, length of farming, extension and access to production facilities together or partially did not have a significant effect on farmers' decisions to use hybrid maize seeds in Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency

    Populasi dan Tingkat Serangan Spodoptera Frugiperda pada Tanaman Jagung di Desa Tulo Kabupaten Sigi

    Spodoptera frugiperda is a new pest in Central Sulawesi attacks maize crops. It was reported in 2019, known in Sigi, Donggala, Touna, Bangga, Tolitoli, Buol, and Palu City Regencies. Also, this pest is spreading rapidly by threatening maize production in Central Sulawesi. This study aims to measure the population and intensity of Spodoptera frugiperda attacks on maizes in Tulo Village, Dolo Sub-district, Sigi Regency. The study, conducted from January to March 2020, used a survey method and selected sampling. Our location takes each plot measuring 2x2 m. Population observations were carried out by collecting larvae found in the sample plants. The attack's intensity was carried out by counting the number of leaves showing symptoms of an attack on the top leaves. Calculation of the proportion of attacks was carried out by the Davis method. The results showed that the highest S. frugiperda population at the age of 14 days after planting. The intensity of S. frugiperda attack on maize was relatively high at the age of 42 days after planting, with an average attack of 65.24%. Climatic data during this period, an average of 28.76-29.43 ℃ with air influence was 71.1-72%
