Objective: To develop a reflection on the use of psychotropic drugs by users accompanied by the Family Health strategy, as well as the insertion and performance of nurses in this context. Method: Reflective study, based on scientific studies related to the theme and the theoretical perspective of Michel Foucault. Results: The biological reductionism of the medical model centered on symptoms favors the transformation of social problems into individual conflicts and the exposure of citizens to the adverse effects of excessive and often inappropriate treatments. Changes in culture, by determining changes in the understanding of subjectivity and in the relationship between the normal and the pathological, favor people to see themselves as sick. Conclusion: There has been an increased growth in the use of psychotropic drugs in Brazil and worldwide, as a result of social medicine, the influence of the media and the need to dissipate human deficits and suffering.

A management plan based on Integrated and Sustainable Agroecological Production (Pais) technology for the cultivation of medicinal plants, through a case study. The Swot-AHP technique was adopted to evaluateproblems to agroecological cultivation, indicating stages of the implementation work, before the physical structuring of the project, integrated with a participative social action with employees of the institution who revealed the use of 64 medicinal plants, highlighting boldo, lemongrass, and lemon balm, while 174 plant species were identified in official Brazilian documents. The lack of electricity and funding delays by funders are the most significant problems, while the space for work and gardening courses are the best potential. The integration of these data has proposed the implementation of teams for fundraising and project implementation, based on a list of medicinal species to compose the future structure made with Pais social technology.A management plan based on Integrated and Sustainable Agroecological Production (Pais) technology for the cultivation of medicinal plants, through a case study. Salvador, BA, Brasil. The objective of this study was to value the use of medicinal plants in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) as a tool for health promotion in the rural community of Palmares. Thus, exploratory studies were carried out descriptive of a qualitative-quantitative approach, for the knowledge of the diffuse use of medicinal plants, as well as the state of the art on medicinal and phytotherapeutic plants among health professionals. It was observed that 82% of the studied population uses medicinal plants in the form of tea (64%), with leaves (52%). And all the health professionals were unaware of phytotherapy in Health Unic System (HUS) SUS, presenting spontaneous demand for training. The training took place in Basic Health Unit (BHU), dealing with different topics. As a return to the community, was implemented a community garden of medicinal plants and didactic materials were developed to assist in the continued education of the health service, as the memento of medicinal plants. Therefore, for the introduction of this practice as a therapy in the SUS, it is essential to plan and execute activities aimed at health education, valuing the cultural aspects involved in the use of medicinal plants by local SUS users, in a participatory and dialogical way

Developmental effects of additional ultraviolet a radiation, growth regulators and tyrosine in Alternanthera brasiliana (L.) Kuntze cultured in vitro

Tissue cultures of Alternanthera brasiliana (L.) Kuntze were treated with different growth regulators (Kinetin and 2,4-D), tyrosine and Ultraviolet A radiation (UV-A; 320 - 400 nm) to investigate their effects on development and pigment production. Nodal segments of plantlets grown from seeds were inoculated in all tested media and different light conditions. After eight weeks, this material was used to evaluate biomass, chlorophyll and betacyanin production. The Murashige and Skoog (MS) + kinetin medium resulted in development of approximately four shoots/explant. This medium plus white light was the best combination for micropropagation with the highest rooting percentage and betacyanin production. Plantlets grown under UV-A illumination reduced biomass accumulation and worse Chlorophyll a / Chlorophyll b ratio. Addition of 2,4-D resulted in inhibition of pigment production and growth of plantlets
